Flame retardant
conductive elastomer for RFI/EMI shielding
emtron, the British manufacturer of RFI/EMI shielding gaskets, materials and components has launched a flame retardant, low smoke, low toxicity EMC shielding gasket. Tested and approved to the international standard UL94V-0 by Underwriters Laboratories for flame retardancy, file number E344902. The material is a nickel coated graphite loaded into silicone elastomers, product code SNG- FR, the gasket provided a highly electrically conductive path between mating flanges of an electronics equipment enclosure giving a high level of RFI/EMI shielding. Nickel coated graphite in silicone is the most cost effective of all the electrically conductive silicone elastomers and its performance in many applications will exceed that of silver based products due to its more aggressive surface finish providing a very low surface contact resistance. The material can be supplied as an extruded strip in various profiles, “O” rings or flat die cut gaskets. Electrically conductive pressure sensitive adhesive can be applied to flat gaskets to aid assembly.

The UK’s leading event for small and ultra-precision technology is back!
ednesday 27 September 2017. The event, which covers the full spectrum of technologies, from laser micromachining through to micro injection moulding, and from MEMS fabrication, through to assembly, inspection and test equipment is moving to the larger and more accessible Hall 1. Located right at the NEC’s main entrance, the new hall will be the first point of call for visitors travelling to any of the industrial shows taking place at the same time. In addition to attracting leading names to the show, organiser Datateam Business Media is introducing a number

of fresh, interactive elements designed to bring all of the technologies to life. Aaron Johnson, vice president of marketing & customer strategy at Accumold comments: "Micro Nano MEMS is a
perfect fit for Accumold. Over the years this expo has been a vital part of our global strategy. Our primary focus at Accumold is micro moulding and micro technologies and this event has been a perfect place to tell our story. Each year we’ve connected with customers, met industry leaders, and learned new things about the world of micro. We’re excited to see what 2017 has in store and the opportunities it will bring."

enclosures. These sophisticated aluminium housings are engineered to very fine tolerances in order to replicate the high quality aesthetics and ergonomics only usually seen on plastic enclosures.
M
TECHNOMET is available in eight standard sizes (ranging from 75 x 225 x 200 mm to 150 x 350 x 275 mm) and in two standard colours light grey or anthracite. All sizes are available with or without a tilt and swivel carry handle bar. 150 mm desktop models are supplied with recessed side handles. Prices start at £73.
The cases are supplied fully assembled. The stylish diecast front and rear bezels fit flush in the case body. Unique front and rear snap-on trims hide the front panel and case fixing screws, giving a modern screw-free look to the housings. A single PCB can be fitted to four M3 mounting pillars in the base panel, or multiple slide-in PCBs can be fitted to the chassis using accessory clip-in anti-vibration guides. Ventilation holes are provided as standard in the base and rear panels. All case panels are fitted with M4 earth studs for electrical continuity. Non-slip ABS feet are supplied fitted (with tilt feet on desktop versions). Anodised aluminium front panels are ordered separately.
Customising options for TECHNOMET include bespoke sizes; custom front panels; CNC punching, folding, milling, drilling and tapping; fixings and inserts; custom colours and finishes; digital printing of legends and logos.
