Enclosures is a series of rugged, die-cast aluminium alloy en-
closures. Rated to IP54 against dust ingress, these die cast enclosures also pro- vide excellent EMC protec- tion. For easy mounting of PCBs, the side walls have a low side wall draft angle of 20 or less. Manufactured from aluminium alloy to BS1490, the enclosures are supplied in a natural die-cast finish and have lap-joint construc- tion. Lids are retained by M3.5 x 12 countersunk screws fitted
into countersunk holes.

new stainless steel ver- sion of Mencom’s single cover low-profile hous- ing has been released. It is corrosion resistant so is suit- able for environments requir- ing strict hygiene conditions. The housing protrudes from the side of the cabinet 75 per- cent less than the standard metal housings and the trans- parent polycarbonate cover reveals which components are within the enclosure. Rated to IP65 they feature a unique locking mechanism. The lock is located on the sliding latch and can be simply operated using a standard flat head
screwdriver.

Bimetal thermostats enclosure regulators
he KTO 111 and KTS 111 compact thermostats, from STEGO feature Push-In terminals to ensure faster and tool-free connection. The small-sized regulators can be quickly connected within an enclosure or control cabinet to switch heating and cooling systems. They provide a constant climate, prevent the formation of harmful condensation, and enable trouble-free operation of sensi- tive electronics.

The two new thermostats are designed as two-state regulators with a sensor element made of thermostatic bimetal. The flexible bimetal bends under the influence of temperature and switches a snap-action contact. The KTO 111 is a contact breaker (NC – normally closed - the contact opens when the temperature is rising) for regulating heaters. The operating temperature of the thermostats ranges from -45 to 80 °C (-49 to 176 °F) in an environment with a maximum of 90 % relative humidity (non-condensing). KTO/KTS are developed for protection type IP20 and protection class 2, achieve a verified service life of 100,000 cy- cles, and are suitable for the following switching currents: AC 250 V, AC 120 V, and DC 24 to 72 V.

ROLEC has added a tough new static/mobile base to its profiPLUS 50 range of suspension arms for HMI/panel enclosures and dis- plays. The base unit has adjustable feet and a maximum static load capacity of 50kg. It has been designed to ensure maximum stability, safety and ease of operation for machine control sys- tems in challenging industrial environments. resin for the battery enclosure of its C25 phone to achieve UL 94 V0 FR compliance at 0.6mm, addressing the new IEC standard. Additionally, the superior flame retardance of the new LNP copolymer resin supports its potential use in ultra-thin-wall components to help save device weight and space in ever-thinner designs.
