Powell Electronics is now stocking the new Kona high-reliability power
connectors from Harwin. Highly durable and capable of deliver- ing 60A of continuous current per contact, these connectors support battery charging appli- cations without needing to di- vide the current across multiple contacts.
These connectors benefit from a six-finger beryllium cop- per contact design with full gold plating in an 8.5 mm pitch. The components are individually shrouded on both male and fe- male versions, preventing acci- dental touching and physical damage. Designed for use in harsh environments, the devices rely on a rugged cable-to-board design to maintain electrical continuity.

he highly versatile Scor- pion modular connector system from Positronic is now available at Powell Elec- tronics. The components can be configured for use as power connectors (16A up to 120A), signal level connectors or as a combination of the two in an almost endless variety of power/signal contact configu- rations. The modular tooling provides multiple keying op- tions, yet still provides a one piece insulator for use in the finished connector.

Positronic’s Scorpion series includes 35+ modules avail- able in standard profile (14.6mm height) and low pro-
file (8.2mm height) versions.

Flexible feed-throughs for M12 and M12 Power control
M12 and M12 Power control cabinet feed-throughs from binder ensure a robust and secure connection between the modules in the cabinet and automation components in the field. The combi- nation of plug or socket as well as coding on each connection side allow for a variety of configurations even in complex au- tomation installations.
binder’s new control cabinet feed-through connectors for the M12 product series 713, 813, 814, 823 and 824, are available with dif- ferent codings and pin counts. The M12 or M12 Power type com- ponents – in accordance with the DIN EN 61076-2-111 standard – allow signal, data, and supply cables to be connected using cir- cular connectors of the same type from the respective series. They are equipped with an M12 locking thread and an M16 mounting thread.
Using these standardised, robust connectors, complex installa- tion concepts can be implemented in industrial environments – e.g., in smart factories – starting from the control cabinet and covering the entire shop floor.
