CONTRACT MANUFACTURING FEATURE
start of each shift, a single sample panel is run and inspected before the line is given the OK to proceed. First time jobs are visually inspected, comparing customer BOM, CSL BOM and actual component placement. Any BGA devices are inspected using
Circuit Solutions in-house x-ray system. This inspection process ensures that the solder joints are free from shorts, dry joints and are consistent to the required standard, before the line is given the OK to continue. This process has the benefit of reducing any potential faults and consequential rework required that may affect the delivery date to their customer. Ahead of PTH, boards are again visually
inspected by Circuit Solutions quality inspectors. Boards will then be loaded with PTH components before being soldered using its Ersa Veraflow selective solder system. This system replaced a conventional wave solder machine and produces boards that rarely need re- touching by an operative, providing Circuit Solutions with an immediate increase in build quality. Any build faults that are found at any of the inspection stages are recorded, reviewed and published as part of the quality metrics on display around the manufacturing

areas. Where necessary, changes will be made to the job pack ahead of the next production build. Should any component change or
rework be needed, this will be undertaken by Circuit Solutions specialist rework technicians, thereby ensuring that the high quality of the board is maintained and is consistent with the IPC standards Circuit Solutions adheres to. Following test, the boards will be
packed and despatched or be assembled into a finished product. Product assembly (box build) takes place in a dedicated

area, fully equipped with dissipative benches, LED lighting and an array of hand and power tools. Build instructions are generated for each product by the manufacturing Engineering team and will be heavily supported with photographs and notes from the customers original build documentation. Assembled products may be subjected to further testing as a complete unit or packed for despatch, dependant on the customer’s requirements. Circuit Solutions are proud of their
history of quality. Employing their own certified IPC and J-STD trainer, ensuring its operators are fully trained to the latest industry standards. The approvals achieved are IPC-610 and IPC-620 along with production staff trained to IPC-J- STD-001 and IPC7711/7721 rework and modification. Also, Circuit Solutions is fully compliant with ESD Controls Program to IEC61340-5-2 in all manufacturing areas from goods in through to despatch. These standards are supported by a detailed and robust quality management system and ensure its ISO 9001-2015 accreditation is maintained.
