Steering the semiconductor industry during a pandemic
Reliability, and IP Archiving providing single solutions through to full turnkey manufacturing, enabling faster time-to- market.
There are many Semiconductor distributors in the market today, how is Rochester different? We are not only an original stocking distributor; we also manufacture semiconductor devices for our customers. This allows us to provide a continuous source of supply of both active components -to solve supply chain disruption, and End-Of-Life semiconductors - to meet long-term customer needs. All fully traceable, certified and guaranteed. During component shortages and long
lead-times, when products may be harder to find and customers may be faced with line-down situations, our customers can quickly identify and obtain product risk-free from our extensive stock. With over 10 billion of our in-stock

he COVID 19 outbreak has crippled the manufacturing, technology,
entertainment, tourism, and many other key sectors dragging the economy towards another financial crisis and recession. Up until this point the semiconductor industry may have just managed to escape the direct impact of the crisis, this situation is not expected to remain.

manufacturers. As an original manufacturer stocking
distributor, we have over 15 billion devices in stock encompassing more than 200,000-part numbers, providing the world’s most extensive range of end-of- life (EOL) semiconductors and broadest range of active semiconductors. As a licensed semiconductor
manufacturer, we manufacture over 20,000 device types. With over 12 billion die in stock, Rochester has the capability to make over 70,000 device types. We also offer a full range of
manufacturing services including Design, Wafer Processing, Assembly, Test,
devices being classed as EOL by the original component manufacturer, Rochester provides a continuous source of supply for customer’s applications where the product lifecycle extends beyond the active availability of a device.
When you say customers can quickly identify and obtain product risk-free from Rochester Electronics, what’s the risk you mention? Counterfeit and simply poor-quality product from unauthorised sources represents a significant risk. Customers whose normal supply routes

which prove insufficient may assume unauthorised or grey market sources are their only solution. But this introduces risks. An increased risk of allowing sub- standard product to enter the supply chain may result in reduced production yields and increased rework, increased in-service failures and reduced reliability, and potential financial liability associated with catastrophic system failure, leading to irreparable reputational loss.
