Power Products offer Horizon Electronics Power Supplies in the UK


P


ower Products International have entered into a partnership arrangement with Horizon Electronics to offer a standard range (COTS) of power supplies for harsh environments. The TITAN 3G Series of factory configurable IP67 housed AC- DC power supplies offers 500 standard options which can be tailored to specific project requirements. Six DC output options are available, ranging between 12V and 60V, with continuous power ratings from 1200 to 8400 Watts. AC Input variants include 115V or 230V Single and Three Phase, with options for higher output power at 200/208V or 400V three phase. Complying with EN61000 EMC and UL/EN 60950 Safety specifications, the power supplies are fitted with I/O circuit breakers, current limiter, over/under voltage and over temperature protection. An operating temperature range of -40°C to +70°C, altitude to 10,000 meters and high resilience to shock and vibration makes these power supplies entirely suitable for outdoor industrial, vehicular and field applications.

emtron, the British manufacturer of RFI/EMI shielding gaskets, materials and components has launched a flame retardant, low smoke, low toxicity EMC shielding gasket.


K Tested and approved to the


international standard UL94V-0 by Underwriters Laboratories for flame retardancy, file number E344902. Also tested for smoke density to BS 6853:1999: Annex D.8.3and oxygen index to BS EN ISO 4589-2:1999 confirming the material meets to requirements for minor internal use on vehicles category 1a such as gaskets for electronic enclosures, making it highly suitable for applications in underground transportation, trains and other safety critical applications. The material is a nickel coated graphite loaded into silicone elastomers, product code SNG-FR, the gasket provided a highly electrically conductive path between mating flanges of an electronics equipment enclosure giving a high level of RFI/EMI shielding. The material can be supplied as an extruded strip in various profiles, “O” rings or flat die cut gaskets.

Wider temperature range, new application areas

luke Process Instruments has added four new single-color and two-color pyrometers to the


Endurance series. The series now covers measured temperatures from 50 °C to 3,200 °C.


The


manufacturer has enhanced the maximum optical resolution from 150:1 to 300:1, enabling measuring of even smaller targets from a distance. A new low- temp ratio pyrometer for demanding applications measures temperatures from 250 °C. The sensors feature galvanically isolated inputs/outputs and a stainless steel IP65 housing. They withstand ambient temperatures up to 65 °C or up to 315 °C using cooling accessories. Application areas include primary and secondary metals manufacturing, carbon processing, silicon production, and now also foundries and welding, as well as rubber and thick plastics. The Endurance series offers a versatile range of models with wide temperature ranges and different wavelengths for precise process data that will help manufacturers reduce reject rates, improve product quality and uniformity, maximize throughput, and minimize energy costs.
