dgers Berndston have partnered with companies such as Vodafone and Google for Rebus, an initiative looking to enhance the presence of women in the UK technology sector. Specifi cally, this initiative aims to provide women intending to lead their careers towards executive and board positions, with objective advice and guidance from experienced mentors to help build confi dence and aid those women in achieving their ambitions. There is no cost, nor barrier into the programme, a benefi cial point when one considers how some women lack the resources or role models to reach these positions. “The readiness of big players in tech to take a lead in mentoring female leaders is extremely
encouraging,” said Holly Addison, partner and head of consumer technology at Odgers Berndtson, and co-founder of Rebus: “Our focus is fi rmly on women in senior management roles, aiming to help them navigate the path to board level. Having that self-belief can make all the diff erence.” Hugh Dickerson, senior industry head at Google, added: “I am very excited to be a part of the Rebus programme as it is important that a business’ senior team best refl ects the diversity of the consumers they serve, and how supporting women to reach their true potential is a critical component in this endeavour”.
