demanding requirements of the railway and transportation market and the high level specifications of the French railways SNCF for electronic components. This particularly includes the standard EN 50155, which combines important standards for on track vehicles; it regulates aspects such as power distribution, isolation coordination, electromagnetic compatibility, shock and vibration resistance (NF EN 61373) as well as specific fire and smoke protection standards (NF 16- 101/102, class F1, I2). In addition, the series corresponds to the standards NF F 60-005 as well as NF F 67- 012 and NF F 60-002 (mechanical
test for French rail vehicles). Depending on the application- specifics, different constructions can be realised with single components of the series. The basic constructions are available in two designs: standard products have a side plate extension as well as a cable distribution frame, the IEEE- versions are also available in a shortened version and shielded with EMC-springs. In order to design the basic constructions vibration-proof, the side plate and mounting brackets as well as the rear corner brackets are positively tox-joined and the horizontal rails secured with two screws each side.

CamdenBoss has extended its DIN-Rail enclosure range with a new family of instrument boxes offering low profile and deep profile versions, designed to help speed electrical and electronic products to market. The CDIB range is supplied in kit form for fast, snap-fit assembly with the low profile size offering a 35mm
DIN-Rail mount enclosure for applications where space is at a premium. The deep profile case, meanwhile, provides more internal space for those applications with larger components and boards. All terminal guards and covers from the company’s DIN-Rail CNMB range can be used with both CDIB
versions and any existing base PCBs will fit both the CNMB and CDIB enclosures. Moulded in UL94-V0, these enclosures can be fully customised allowing freedom to include cut-outs, vents
or holes in any position and with a variety of colours available. Combined with the option of digital printing, it is possible to create a bespoke CDIB DIN-Rail mounting
instrument enclosure to exact specifications. Complementing the new CDIB instrument enclosures is the company’s CVB-Plus, a vertical DIN-Rail mount housing complete with 16 (four x 4-pole) 5mm pitch pluggable terminal blocks. Providing a convenient clip together design for fast assembly, the versatile features of these enclosures include solid or vented side panels, front and side label recesses and two vertical PCB slots to ensure boards are held firmly in place. A development PCB is also available as an option. The CVB-Plus enclosure is 22.5mm wide and moulded in green self-extinguishing UL94-V0 flame retardant
PA66. Like many of the company’s DIN-Rail enclosures, these enclosures are also chassis or surface mountable enabled by a pair of spring-loaded clips that can be snapped into position. OKW has extended its Railtec C DIN rail enclosure range with a new CV version that features four integrated terminal blocks. New enclosures can be specified for a wide
