POWER MODULAR POWER SUPPLY AND PROTECTION COMPONENTS

NewfromRutronikisthe RACPRO1 series from RECOM, a new generation of modular DIN-rail power supply and protection components for industrial applications. The series includes the RACPRO1-S and

RACPRO1-T DIN-rail power supplies, the RACPRO1-4SP electronic fuse (e-Fuse) and redundancy modules for parallel power supply configurations. Together they enable a scalable and highly reliable 24 VDC power architecture for modern automation and industrial systems. These have been developed for industrial

automation environments where a stable and efficient 24 VDC supply forms the foundation for reliable control and communication systems. By combining power supplies with

protection and redundancy modules, engineers can implement flexible power architectures tailored to systems of varying complexity. The RACPRO1-S models serve as robust

standard solutions (single-phase) for industrial systems with a compact design and high efficiency. They are particularly suitable for decentralised installations or space-constrained control cabinet environments. The RACPRO1-T series (three-phase)

extends this functionality with additional monitoring and diagnostic capabilities, providing greater system transparency and simplifying maintenance tasks. Typical applications range from machine control systems to more complex production environments.

COMPACT DESKTOP POWER SUPPLY LAUNCHED

A compact and versatile desktop power supply for use across medical, industrial and professional environments has been announced by Mascot. Delivering up to 80 W of output power, the 4320 features a universal input range of 90-264 VAC. The power supply is

available with fixed output voltages spanning 12, 16, 24, 48 and64Vasstandard,with a5V version and other user-defined outputs available on request. It provides stable, consistent output across varying load

conditions, supported by a switch frequency of approximately 65 kHz. In addition, the power supply demonstrates low ripple and noise, while incorporating both short-circuit and thermal protection. These safeguards protect critical power supply components from electrical anomalies that have the potential to cause failure or damage. The Mascot 4320 is medically certified to IEC 60601-1 edition 3.1 and 3.2, while also meeting IEC 60601-1-11 requirements for home healthcare environments. EMC performance is aligned with IEC/EN 60601-1-2 edition 4.1 for safe and stable operation in crowded electronic environments. In addition, the 4320 complies with IEC 62368-1 and IEC 60335-1, making it suitable for a wide range of household, AV and ICT applications. Housed in a robust desktop enclosure for defence against electrical hazards and physical damage,

the 4320 features a standard 2-pin IEC 60320 (C8) input, with options for 3-pin connectors or fixed mains cords. On the DC side, exchangeable plug solutions are available, supported by standard cord sets or user-specific configurations, enabling straightforward adaptation for different use cases. Extensive customisation capabilities are available; and accessories for the 4320 series include

a wall-mount bracket, 2-pin AC cords, exchangeable DC plugs (individual or in packs) and exchangeable DC push-on terminals.

For selective protection of individual load

branches, the system can be complemented by the RACPRO1-4SP DIN-Rail e-Fuse. This electronic fuse features four independently protected channels, ensuring that overload or fault conditions on a single load do not affect the operation of the entire system. Redundancy modules allow two power supplies

to operate in parallel. In this configuration, both units share the load during normal operation. If one unit fails, the second power supply seamlessly maintains the output, ensuring uninterrupted 24 VDC power delivery.

UNITS CAN BE COMBINED TO PRODUCE TWO

MEGAWATTS OF POWER

New from Diversified Technologies, the DTI HVPS Series Switching Mode Power Supplies are a line of solid-state DC power supplies. These monolithic units can be combined in parallel to produce from 250kW to two megawatts of power without a master control. Capable of dealing with highly complex loads,

the power supplies have low stored energy to prevent damage from an arc or fault and provide full over-voltage and over-current protection up to +30% with over 100,000 hours MTBF. Each fully integrated unit occupies a 610mm x

914mm x 1880mm, uses tap water for cooling, and packs high power into a small footprint.
