EMAS UK CELEBRATES TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY WITH DISTRIBUTOR TRIP TO TURKEY
A group of international customers recently had the privilege of visiting EMAS Electric’s facility in Istanbul, Turkey. During the event, these automation industry professionals were given a guided tour of the impressive site, witnessing not just a production line but a fully integrated, precision-driven operation, shaped by over five years of engineering expertise. The tour began in the tool room where
the visitors witnessed expert machinists crafting the moulds and dies that form the basis of every EMAS product. They observed skilled hands adjusting precision tooling for a new pushbutton series which was created, designed, built and tested on-site. Following this, the group moved into the
plastic injection moulding department where they saw high precision machinery moulding component housings with consistency and repeatability. From here, they then moved into an area where raw materials were being transformed into terminals and contact blocks by automated stamping and machining systems. There are huge benefits to producing everything in house, as the factory manager explained: “We’re not dependant on outside suppliers for critical parts. By keeping everything internal, we maintain full control over quality, timelines, and product customisation.” Commenting on the visit, one visitor said: “We expected a modern factory.
However what we saw was an ecosystem! Every element of the process is done in-house, and there’s a clear engineering logic behind it all.”
