distribute PTFE Spring Energised & Hydraulic Seals, Metal O Rings and C Rings. After many years of growth and success, the decision was made in 2012 to manufacture ‘in house’ and since then the company has continued to expand and establish a superb reputation within the industry, focusing primarily on the oil/gas & energy sectors but having a strong foothold in hydraulics, marine, machine tools, food, motorsport, semi-conductor & MRO. ‘From Powder to Part’, having complete control of all aspects of the seal manufacturing process, and offers seals from 2mm > 2000mm from standard profiles or to your bespoke requirements. It offers a complete 3D CAD seal design service, on site PTFE billet production, in house spring winding, advanced CNC manufacturing processes and EDM facilities for tool making. Its highly trained staff, facility and process make it the leading PTFE seal manufacturer in the UK. With no tooling or minimum quantities, Moontown can satisfy any
requirement – from special ‘one offs’ to production runs at the highest standards in a range of materials, including those with NORSOK, API 6A & FDA approvals at competitive pricing with deliveries to suit.
The next chapter of the Moontown story started in 2020 with the introduction of the new ‘Fast Seal’ service! As the world sadly suffered under a crippling pandemic, Moontown was able to continue its expansion plans and invest further in equipment, personnel and training. As such, it can now manufacture virtually any seal in house > 600mm OD* in a vast range of standard and high-performance materials including NBR, FPM, POLYURETHANE, SILICONE, EPDM & POLYACETAL, PEEK & PTFE for hydraulic, pneumatic, static or dynamic applications. As applications, speeds, temperatures and
pressures have increased dramatically over the years, the company believes that engineers should deal with manufacturing experts directly. Moontown continues to invest in new polymer research, in house testing and
inspection equipment, FEA modelling and 3D software in order to keep its place as one of the world’s premier seal manufacturers. It can advise upon suitable materials and seal profiles, and offers a sample manufacture service and site visits if necessary. Moontown is an ISO 9001:2015 approved
