Thunder, the new energy-efficient air- cooled reversible heat pump with natural refrigerant R-290
T
hunder is an innovative solution since it is designed with full- inverter technology on latest-generation scroll compressors and axial fans.
It offers maximum energy efficiency and thanks to the use of R-290, a natural and ecological refrigerant (GWP = 3) that can be used in the long term as it is fully compliant with the European regulation on fluorinated F-Gas (517/2014), it contributes to the reduction of the direct and indirect greenhouse effect. Thunder is available in the 40 to 85 kW capacity range and is characterised by high performances, application versatility and extended operating limits.
Top performance The unit achieves outstanding performances for medium temperature applications: with a seasonal efficiency in heating SCOP (W55) up to 3,63 the unit far exceeds the minimum requirements of the Ecodesign (ErP) directive.
Application versatility The Thunder guarantees heating, cooling and domestic hot water production up to 75°C and an operating range in heating from -20°C to +42°C ambient air. Thunder is perfect both for meeting the minimum requirements for new buildings and for use in refurbishment due to its ability to produce hot water at high temperatures, making it suitable for use as an alternative and replacement for boilers, in combination with classic radiator systems. Thanks to the careful design, the unit delivers a heat capacity very close to the nominal data, even at very cold outside air temperatures.
Maximum silence Thunder offers 3 acoustic levels, without varying the size of the unit: • Acoustic configuration with compressor soundproofing (SC): basic version; • Silenced acoustic configuration (LN): from -2 to -4 dB (A) less compared to SC version; • Super-silenced acoustic configuration (EN): from -6 to -10 dB (A) less compared to SC version
Safety Thunder is designed in full compliance with European safety standards, and additional safety measures such as the ATEX gas leak detector sensor and extraction fan are installed as standard. All components are suitable for the use of R-290 refrigerant.

CONDAIR HELPS KONVEKTA ACHIEVE 92% ENERGY RECOVERY
T
FLIR X-Series Don’t Lose a Moment of Critical Testing In demanding environments such as scientific, defense, and aerospace research, critical testing events may only last a fraction of a second and missing data could prove costly. Having a high-performance infrared camera is therefore essential to capture and stream high-speed events flawlessly, ensuring no data loss and no dropped frames. Introducing the FLIR X6980-HS and X8580-HS: the latest additions to the X-Series family. These high-
speed, high-definition infrared cameras offer unmatched data streaming capabilities, guaranteeing zero dropped frames. In fields where tests are expensive, losing even a single frame could mean missing crucial data. Never miss crucial data again
Eradicate data loss and dropped frames Record directly to the removable 4 TB solid-state drive (SSD) for extended periods of time at the fastest frame rate without dropping any frames.
Effortlessly share data Simplified setup when recording directly to a PC with the latest 10 GigE, CXP 2.1, and CameraLink Full high-speed interfaces.
Record high-speed events precisely Proprietary triggering, synchronization, and accurate IRIG time stamping system ensures precise on-time recording. For more information about the NEW X-Series HS systems please call or email to arrange a call or onsite demonstration.

he Condair ME evaporative humidifier is being used by energy recovery specialists, Konvekta, as one of its standard adiabatic cooling solutions. The humidifier is being incorporated into
Konvekta’s exhaust air cooling systems to help Konvekta deliver up to 92% annual energy recovery to its clients’ buildings. A Konvekta exhaust air cooling system pre-cools incoming fresh air
to reduce a building’s need for mechanical cooling. The Condair ME humidifier is used in this system to provide very low energy evaporative cooling to the warm air extracted from the rooms. Before the cooled extract air is vented externally, it is run through a heat recovery system and provides up to 10K of cooling to the incoming fresh air supply. A cooling effect from 32°C outside air temperature down to 22-23°C supply air temperature can be reached, without any mechanical cooling. Amir Ibrahimagic, Group Business Development Manager at Konvekta, comments, “Konvekta has standardised its exhaust air cooling systems on the Condair ME humidifier as its evaporative cooling solution. The reliability of the unit is second-to-none. It incorporates the highest quality components that give utmost longevity and performance to our clients. Alongside the product’s USPs, Condair is also a very solutions-oriented partner. As a Konvekta energy recovery system is always custom designed for a client’s needs, it’s vital for us to have flexible design support from our evaporative cooling supplier.” Amir continues, “As an example, a recent installation at a clinic in Tyrol, Austria, resulted in a confirmed annual energy recovery across the Konvekta systems of 92% for the building. A single Condair ME humidifier contributed more than 60,000kWh/a of cooling during this period from just 3,800kWh/a of consumed electricity. This low energy cooling significantly improved the building’s overall energy efficiency and helped our client become the most sustainable clinic of its type in all of Austria.” Konvekta are a leading global supplier of high efficiency run around energy recovery systems, with clients including MIT and Harvard University in the USA, as well as Frankfurt Airport, Germany, and Swarovski Optik in Austria. Its systems offer an average annual ROI of between 3-7 years, depending on energy prices and operating hours. Alongside the highest efficiency systems on the market, the company offers a performance guarantee to clients, covering highly detailed financial and operational outcomes. The company’s Konvekta-Controller operates within a Digital Twin framework and provides net annual
energy-saving calculations to design engineers early in the design phase. Following installation, the Konvekta-Controller presents current and historical performance data, allowing optimisations to be carried out to meet or exceed initial design projections. The Condair ME in-duct adiabatic humidifier can be used to provide humidification or cooling to an air handling unit. Its evaporative matrix is located inside the duct and has water flowing down its surface. Air passing through the matrix is humidified and cooled without any aerosols being produced inside the AHU. The Condair ME has an innovative hydraulic pump module that can be located either inside the duct or externally, which allows servicing to happen without any AHU downtime. Units are available in sizes ranging from just 60x62cm to over 4x4m, with total outputs from a single unit of up to 1,200kg/h. In terms of cooling, this can equate to 822kW of adiabatic cooling from as little as 1kW of consumed electricity.
