Chipping Homes has specified air source heat pumps from NIBE for its aracve Fellside development in the picturesque village of Chipping in the Ribble Valley, which comprises 39 family homes
omebuyers at the development, which is in an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB), can be reassured that they are doing their bit for the environment by heating their homes with high efficiency, eco-friendly air source heat pumps. The NIBE heat pumps will provide heating and hot water to the property.
H Air source heat pumps
Thirty-two, three to five bedroom homes on the development, are being fitted with NIBE F2040 air source heat pumps, which are ideal for meeting all their heating and hot water requirements. The heat pumps have a discreet appearance and offer low noise levels, where the collector unit will be installed in the majority of cases, externally to the garage. The remaining seven properties are smaller bungalows built for the local over 55s community, and these are being fitted with NIBE F730 Exhaust Air Heat Pump systems, which offer ventilation, alongside heating and hot water.
The homes have high levels of insulation to the cavity wall and loft, to optimise thermal performance. They are built with UPVC double-glazed windows and French doors and a number of the properties at Fellside also come with electric car charging points.
Chipping Homes chose NIBE, as it is a well-established company that dates back to the 1950s in Sweden and has been operating in the UK since 2006. Smart home system
The systems are being supplied with NIBE Uplink to create a smart home system. This means they can control their heating system remotely via an app on their smart phones or tablet and monitor its performance. The NIBE system comes with a seven-year warranty.
Fellside is a luxury development of three, four and five bedroom detached family homes, which includes the elegant Charlbury three bedroom home, the stunning Kingham four bedroom home and the spacious Stonesfield five bedroom detached.
