Unicrimp adds Pink PVC Tape to its growing cable accessory range
U
nicrimp, part of the Scolmore Group, has expanded its comprehensive Q-Crimp cable accessories portfolio with the introduction of a new Pink PVC Tape, developed specifically to provide clear and compliant identification of Functional Earth conductors within electrical installations.
Designed to deliver instant visual differentiation, the Pink PVC Tape enables installers to clearly separate Functional Earth from Protective Earth, reducing the risk of confusion on site. While Protective Earth provides a critical safety connection to prevent electrical shock, Functional Earth serves a different purpose by supporting the operational stability of the electronic equipment. By introducing a distinct pink identification solution, Unicrimp addresses the growing need for clarity
and compliance in modern electrical systems where both earthing types be present. Manufactured for durability and performance, the pink PVC tape combines flexibility with strength ensuring reliable application across a wide range of installation environments. It features a natural rubber adhesive for strong adhesion and offers a voltage breakdown rating of 6kV. The tape is also self- extinguishing, further supporting enhanced on-site safety standards. Supplied in a 19mm width with a 33m roll length, the tape provides practical coverage for everyday
installation requirements. Its high visibility finish not only promotes safer working practices but also helps contractors maintain neat, professional results. For more information visit Unicrimp’s website -

Nuaire celebrates long service and a people-first culture built over decades
ndoor air quality and ventilation manufacturing specialist Nuaire, based in Caerphilly, has celebrated the exceptional loyalty and dedication
of its employees at a long service awards event – a powerful reflection of a workplace culture that has been built and sustained over generations. The celebration, attended by 60 colleagues, was
held at Nuaire’s home town of Caerphilly, South Wales, close to its headquarters. Presented by Nuaire Managing Director, Meirion Richards, the event recognised employees who have reached major service milestones, with particular emphasis on those who have dedicated 25 years or more of their careers to Nuaire. During his speech, Meirion highlighted how rare such loyalty has become, noting that more than 70 Nuaire employees have now achieved 25 years’ service or more, representing around 12% of the workforce. Installed earlier this year, a large long-service plaque at Nuaire’s offices lists those people who have
given 30 years’ service to the company, serving as a lasting reminder of the individuals who have played a vital role in shaping the business. At this latest commemoration, the following names were added: Ian Jones, Andrew Nash, Martin Pring, Pat Chiu, Jason Williams, Steve Newman, Brian Jones, Mark Owen and Mark Staples. Following closely behind them, Julia Evans was presented with a long service certificate for her 25 years’ service. The event also paid tribute to colleagues retiring after decades of service, with thanks extended
to Beverley Berry (27 years), Ray Daddow (36 years) and Philip Jones (37 years), whose combined contribution represents almost a century of experience! Nuaire has been holding long service celebrations for many years, reflecting a business culture
that actively supports long-term careers. Founded in 1966, the company has grown into one of the area’s largest employers, with generations of families working at the business and a strong focus on progression, skills development and employee wellbeing. That commitment extends well beyond recognition events. In recent years, Nuaire has invested
heavily in workplace welfare, recognising that long service is underpinned by employees feeling supported, valued and cared for. Initiatives include on-site access to an Occupational Health Therapist and Physiotherapist, trained mental health first aiders, and a comprehensive employee welfare programme developed across the wider Genuit Group. Commenting on the event, Meirion Richards said “this celebration is about more than milestones alone: it’s about recognising the people who have helped build Nuaire into the company it is today, and reinforcing a culture where loyalty is earned through genuine investment in employees.”

Natural Refrigerant Heat Pump Range Capacity Increases with New 65kw Model
Ideal Commercial Heating ECOMOD B
uilding on the success of its ECOMOD 290HT natural refrigerant commercial heat pumps, Ideal Commercial Heating has expanded the range to include a 65kW model to
meet demand for higher output systems. This takes the ECOMOD 290HT range to four chassis sizes and six available outputs, from 15kW to 65kW. ECOMOD 290HT monobloc air source heat pumps have an
exceptionally low global warming potential (GWP) of just three, thanks to the use of R290 natural refrigerant. The lower the GWP, the lower the contribution to climate change. Furthermore, with the 2014 F-Gas Regulations and, more recently, the EU’s Regulation 2024/573 pushing for a refrigerant phase-down, the use of low-GWP refrigerants helps future proof investments made in natural refrigerant heat pumps. The new ECOMOD 290HT 65kW has a maximum flow temperature of 70°C and an excellent coefficient
of performance (CoP) of up to 4.6 which means it produces up to 4.6 units of heat for every single unit of electrical energy consumed. You can also cascade up to seven of these new 65kW models for where greater heating outputs are
required. Whilst an integral control unit is included as standard, optional control units are available for cascade and where no BMS is present. As with other ECOMOD heat pumps, the ECOMOD 290HT 65kW can be used in a hybrid heating
system. It integrates seamlessly with other Ideal Commercial Heating products - including the EVOMAX 2 and IMAX XTRA 2 condensing boilers - to create efficient, low-carbon hybrid heating solutions. Commenting on this latest addition to the ECOMOD range, Chris Caton, Product Director – Commercial, at Ideal Heating said: “Ideal Heating has been providing heating solutions for the UK market for well over 100 years. We have stood the test of time and built a reputation based on our ability to deliver customers with quality, reliable commercial heating solutions that meet contemporary market conditions. Investing further in our ECOMOD heat pump range, including our latest natural refrigerant models, enables us to provide an even wider range of outputs to meet the changing needs of our customers. As the market for heat pumps continues to grow, we will continue to stay ahead of the curve, delivering products and solutions that will support market needs now and in to the future.” All ECOMOD heat pumps are backed by a five-year warranty when commissioned by Ideal Commercial
Heating. Ideal Commercial Heating remains the only manufacturer to continuously provide a free commissioning service across its commercial ECOMOD heat pumps and condensing boilers, helping contractors save time and reduce costs, whilst ensuring optimal system setup and performance. Ideal Commercial Heating continues to deliver advanced commercial heating solutions developed in
line with emerging technologies, market requirements, and environmental legislation. For more details, visit:
