Click Scolmore adds 4-gang single plate switch to Definity range

C

lick Scolmore continues to invest in the development of its product portfolio with the launch of a new 4-gang single plate switch - a

practical and stylish addition to the company’s Definity range of screwless wiring accessories.

Where can this be used? Designed to meet the growing demand for flexibility without compromising on aesthetics, the premium 10AX 4-gang complete switch can be used in areas with limited wall space or in hallways and living areas without chasing the wall. The switch also allows four separate circuits to be controlled from a single size Definity plate. This offers a clear advantage for installers and specifiers, as it removes the need for a twin-size plate and back box, helping to save space while maintaining a clean and streamline finish.

Limited wall space between doors or architrave In many properties, switches are positioned between two door openings or close to an architrave, where wall space is extremely limited. Traditionally, this restricts installations to a maximum of 3-gangs on a single Definity plate, as 4-gang switches normally require a larger double Definity plate. With the 4-gang single plate switch, installers can now fit up to four circuits in tight spaces, avoid increasing the plate size, and maintain a clean, balanced appearance.

Adding circuits without chasing the wall In hallways or living areas, it’s common to already have a 2 or 3-gang single plate controlling multiple lights. When an additional circuit is required, the usual solution is to chase the wall and install a double plate. The 4-gang single plate switch eliminates this need by allowing an additional circuit to be added within the existing single plate footprint, reducing installation time, mess and redecoration costs for the end user. Where power meets style, the new Definity 4-gang, single plate switch delivers high performance alongside a refined appearance that complements a wide variety of interior schemes, reflecting Click Scolmore’s commitment to combining functionality with design-led solutions. The new 4-gang, single plate switches are available across the Definity range of finishes - antique

brass, polished chrome, stainless steel, metal white, matt bronze, brushed stainless steel, polar white, matt black and metal black. Inserts are available in black, polar white and grey, with grey inserts available only in the stainless steel and brushed stainless finishes. Hamworthy Heating Delivers Hybrid Heating Solution at Grantham Health Centre

H

amworthy Heating, a trusted British manufacturer and supplier of commercial heating and hot water products, has supplied a high-performance hybrid heating system to

Grantham Health Centre in Lincolnshire, helping the facility reduce carbon emissions, improve efficiency, and ensure reliable heating for patients and staff. Delivered in partnership with contractors Arthur Pollard Ltd, the solution combines Hamworthy’s Stratton mk3 wall-hung condensing boilers with a Tyneham 50kW 290HT air source heat pump - a proven solution that provides a resilient, future-ready system tailored to the demanding requirements of the healthcare sector. The project replaces the centre’s three ageing gas boilers with

a modern hybrid system designed to maximise efficiency, reduce running costs, and align with strict carbon reduction targets. Using Hamworthy’s Tyneham high temperature heat pump as the primary heat source in milder weather, with Stratton mk3 boilers providing back-up in colder months, the system delivers reliable performance all year round. Supported by a 500L buffer vessel with back up heater and controlled via a Building Management System (BMS), the compact equipment was seamlessly integrated into the existing heating infrastructure, avoiding invasive internal alterations. Paul Jones, Regional Capital Project Lead Midlands at NHS Property Services (NHSPS), commented: “The recent heating upgrade at Grantham Health Centre exemplifies our commitment to sustainability

and future-proofing our facilities. This project is a testament to our dedication to creating sustainable healthcare environments that are equipped to meet the evolving needs of our communities.” The installation was completed in just seven weeks while the health centre remained operational,

with a temporary boiler provided and gas works scheduled over a weekend to minimise disruption to essential clinical services. Arthur Pollard Ltd.’s Oliver Foster also praised the collaboration, saying: “The project progressed exceptionally smoothly, with the client expressing satisfaction with the new

system. Early design input from Hamworthy Heating helped streamline decision-making and minimise risk throughout.” With scope for future growth, the new heating system offers long-term flexibility to adapt as the health centre’s needs evolve. The project underlines Hamworthy Heating’s commitment to supporting healthcare providers with efficient, reliable, and sustainable heating solutions. As part of its wider commitment to supporting the transition to low carbon heating, Hamworthy

Heating has developed an online, easy-to-navigate, Commercial Heat Pump Toolkit to help consultants, contractors and building operators approach heat pump specification with confidence. The resource provides practical guidance on system selection, hybrid design considerations, and key technical factors influencing performance. Carrier’s partnership with Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport enters its fourth year

L

ONDON, United Kingdom, March 6th, 2026 — Carrier has confirmed the continuation of its commercial

partnership with Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport for the 2026 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) season, marking the fourth consecutive year of collaboration between the two organisations. Carrier is a part of Carrier Global Corporation (NYSE: CARR), global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions. To celebrate the occasion, Carrier joined Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport at last month’s Team Official Launch Event in Shoreditch, London. Exclusive programme members got a first glimpse of the new cars before the Toyota Corollas and their liveries were revealed to the world alongside the programme partners, drivers and team management. Following a strong 2025 campaign, the partnership will see Carrier remain a key supporter of

the team as it embarks on a refreshed programme featuring new drivers, new cars and expanded engagement activity across the BTCC calendar. The 2025 season proved to be one

of the team’s most competitive to date, with consistent front-running performances and multiple podium finishes throughout the year. The campaign highlighted the strength of the team both on and off track, laying solid foundations for the next stage of development in 2026. "We are really proud to be continuing

our relationship with Carrier, and this partnership is a great example of our work here at Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport,” said Alex Watts, Managing Director of MBP. “The UK-wide customer

engagement programme we run with the Carrier team has always been a huge success, but the addition of our internal employee appreciation days and the joined-up approach we take to commercial introductions across our network has made this a great relationship. We look forward to another great year together.” Led by Sporting Director legend Mark Blundell and Technical Advisor and Race Engineer Craig Porley, Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport will field a new driver line-up for the upcoming season. Three-time BTCC Champion Gordon Shedden joins the team, bringing extensive experience and a proven race-winning pedigree. He will be joined by Árón Taylor-Smith, a multiple BTCC race winner and former Independent Champion, returning to the series with strong potential to challenge at the front of the grid. The team also bids farewell to Jake Hill, who departs following a highly successful period with Laser

Tools Racing with MB Motorsport that included a BTCC Drivers’ Championship title. Hill leaves with the full support and best wishes of the team and Carrier as he moves on to new opportunities. In addition to the driver changes, the team will operate an expanded car programme for 2026, running two new Toyota Corolla models. The move strengthens the team’s competitive ambitions and supports greater performance consistency across the season. Away from the circuit, Carrier has confirmed they will attend six customer days during the season,

offering clients and partners exclusive access to the team and paddock environment. Two dedicated Carrier friends and family days will also take place, providing behind-the-scenes experiences for staff and their families. “This is the fourth year Carrier have joined forces with Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport,

and the relationship grows stronger each season,” said Graham Smith, Carrier’s Applied Commercial Director. “We are looking forward to seeing what this year’s changes will bring and are excited to have the opportunity to share this partnership with our customers, clients and colleagues. The continued collaboration reflects shared values around performance, teamwork and innovation,

with motorsport providing a powerful platform for engagement and brand visibility.
