Ideal Commercial Heating and ACV

deal Commercial Heating will be returning to the Specifi Mechanical Services event series throughout 2026, exhibiting alongside

sister company ACV to engage directly with consultants, designers and mechanical services professionals across the UK. The two Groupe Atlantic brands will attend

eleven Specifi events over the course of the year. The first event was held at Manchester on 20th January and will continue through Birmingham on 3rd February, Bristol on 24th February, Nottingham on 3rd March, London on 13th April, Newcastle on 22nd April, Glasgow on 8th June, Liverpool on 23rd July, Edinburgh on 10th September and Leeds on 9th November, before concluding with a second London event on 3rd December. Specifi events are recognised for their informal, discussion-led format, giving specifiers the opportunity to speak openly with manufacturers and explore real project challenges. Experts in specification from Ideal Commercial Heating and ACV will be on hand throughout the series to offer practical technical insight across commercial heating and hot water system design, from traditional plantroom considerations through to future-ready approaches. With decarbonisation continuing to shape the commercial heating landscape, Ideal Commercial

Heating will use the events to support conversations around system efficiency, low-carbon technologies and evolving project requirements. Visitors will also be able to learn more about the company’s CIBSE- accredited CPD programme, which covers key topics such as heat pump principles, heat networks and broader system design considerations, and can be delivered either online or in person. ACV specialists will also be available throughout the events to discuss hot water generation and electric boiler applications, including how electric technologies can be effectively integrated within modern commercial systems. Richard Brown, Head of Specification Sales at Ideal Commercial Heating, said: “Specifi creates exactly

the kind of environment our sector needs more of – open discussion, knowledge-sharing and honest conversations about the challenges specifiers are facing. Exhibiting alongside ACV allows us to offer broader technical insight across both heating and hot water, and we’re looking forward to engaging with professionals across the UK throughout 2026.” Attendance at Specifi events is free but requires pre-registration. MHIAE Unveils M-ACCESS: Real-Time Remote Control and Monitoring for Smarter Buildings

M

HIAE has announced the launch of M-ACCESS, a next-generation cloud-based platform developed

by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Thermal Systems Ltd and supplied by MHIAE. Designed to give building owners, retail chains, building management companies and service providers full visibility of their HVAC operations, M-ACCESS provides real-time remote monitoring and control of air conditioning units from any location with an internet connection. Suitable for both retrofit and

new installations, M-ACCESS adopts cloud gateway technology (RM-CGW-E2) to enable centralised management of air conditioning equipment at multiple off-site locations using IoT. It can connect to multiple sites simultaneously, enabling users to view and adjust internal building temperatures with ease. The platform can also integrate seamlessly with Q-ton Hyozan (CO2 condensing unit) and chiller systems and offers immediate fault notifications, supporting faster diagnostics and minimising downtime. As a subscription-based service, M-ACCESS removes the uncertainty that often comes with manual

temperature control. Users can maintain a stable, comfortable indoor environment while the system’s automated reporting tools allows building owners to review past energy usage and system behaviour quickly and accurately. M-ACCESS provides extensive functionality, including remote real-time monitoring and control of

air conditioning units. M-ACCESS can be configured for multi-site management from a single intuitive dashboard, offering clear, accurate data on energy-consumption and temperature-trend data to support informed decision-making. Users can also monitor the Coefficient of Performance for Q-ton, and chiller systems, receive email alerts in the event of a malfunction, and plan operations via a comprehensive annual scheduling function. A built-in energy-saving and demand control feature, which calculates demand based on weather forecasts and the operational data of each site enables energy usage to be optimised and savings to be realised. Additional features include the ability to generate periodic operational reports for Q-ton and chiller systems to enable users to analyse system performance for maintenance and analysis. M-ACCESS represents a major development in smart building management. It gives facilities managers the confidence to control building temperatures remotely while ensuring complete comfort for occupants. Its accurate real-time monitoring also helps ensure each building operates in the most efficient and sustainable way. Like all MHIAE products, M-ACCESS is available exclusively through MHIAE’s Europe-wide distributor

WAVIN AND MILWAUKEE GEAR UP FOR A NATIONWIDE INSTALLER ROADSHOW AT WOLSELEY PLUMB CENTRE

L

eading plumbing and drainage manufacturer Wavin is partnering with professional tool manufacturer Milwaukee to launch a nationwide

roadshow across branches at national merchant Wolseley Plumb Centre, bringing hands-on product demonstrations and exclusive giveaways to tradespeople across the UK. The tour kicks off in Kendal on Tuesday (17th

February), with Wavin’s custom mobile display vehicle – the ‘WaVan’ – arriving on site for a full day of practical product demonstrations and expert advice, before concluding in Aberdeen on Thursday 21st of May. Across the 29-stop tour, installers will get hands on with the latest innovations from Wavin and Milwaukee.

Visitors will get the chance to pick up exclusive giveaways and free product packs, while anyone purchasing a Milwaukee product on the day will be entered into a prize draw to win a Milwaukee branded radio. As part of the roadshow, attendees will have the chance to discover Wavin’s new Hep2O keyless range

with free sample packs. The latest plastic push-fit system eliminates the need for a demounting key, streamlining installation in tight or hard to reach spaces and each fitting comes pre locked for quicker, more reliable connections. “Partnering with Wavin and Milwaukee allows us to bring even more value to our installer customers,” said

Graeme Etherington, Director of Regional Operations at Wolseley Plumb Centre. “Their commitment to supporting installers aligns perfectly with what we aim to deliver in branch. And

because both Wavin and Milwaukee are part of our PlumbPro loyalty programme, this tour gives customers even more opportunities to engage with the brands they already rely on while unlocking extra value through PlumbPro benefits. Together, we’re creating an experience that helps installers get hands-on with new products, ask questions, and find practical ways to make their everyday work easier.” Wayne Boswell, National Key Account Manager at Wavin said: “We’re really looking forward to getting the

WaVan out on the road and spending time with installers across the country. It gives us a chance to speak to people face-to-face, understand what they need day to day, and offer support in a much more personal way. “Partnering with Plumb Centre and Milwaukee means we can bring the right expertise, the right products

and the right conversations directly to the trade.” James Harris, National Account Manager – Plumbing at Milwaukee added: “Installers rely on tools that

can keep up with the demands of their work, and this tour is a fantastic way for us to show exactly what our products can do. Being part of such a collaborative roadshow means we can talk directly with the people who use our tools and Wavin’s every day.” This partnership brings together three leading brands with a shared commitment to supporting installers through hands-on demonstrations, valuable product knowledge and direct in-branch engagement.
