70 BAR CALIBRATION GAS CYLINDER LAUNCHED FOR THE INDUSTRIAL GASES INDUSTRY

alibration gases play a crucial role in a range of industries, including manufacturing, oil and gas, firefighting, environmental monitoring, and chemical processing, making calibration gas cylinders a crucial component in industrial and safety applications. To
meet industry and customer needs, Luxfer Gas Cylinders, a division of Luxfer Holdings PLC (NYSE: LXFR), has announced the launch of a new portable cylinder for the storage and transportation of calibration gases. Designed specifically for use by industrial gas producers and calibration gas suppliers, the A981/1/l cylinder has several unique features. These include service pressure of 70 bar for efficient storage and utilisation, and a weight of just 0.8kg, making it easy to handle, transport and use. Plus, it is manufactured to the highest specification, meeting all of Luxfer’s stringent safety and quality standards. The new cylinder, which combines advanced specifications with practical features, provides robust and reliable containment for various calibration gases, including methane, oxygen, nitrogen oxide and carbon monoxide, making it fit-for-purpose across all industrial applications. Manufactured using Luxfer’s proprietary aluminium alloy and manufacturing process, the product’s internal surface offers greater stability and longer shelf life for more unstable gas blends.
The A981/1/l cylinder is also fully compliant and meets
all Transportable Pressure Equipment Directive (TPED) and Department of Transportation (DOT) standards, ensuring safe operation and functionality.
