NEW SLIMLINE PRESSURE SWITCH WITH IO-LINK AND PROGRAMMABLE DISPLAY
W
IKA's new model PSD-4-ECO programmable pressure switch enables pressure monitoring in machines which
is as uncomplicated as it is reliable. With IO-Link version 1.1, the instrument - in a space-saving design and with a two-colour display - is a flexible automation solution. The plug-and-play principle enables the new pressure switch to be commissioned
quickly, either through individual factory pre-configuration or via IO-Link. Its display can be set so that the operator receives on-site information without any prior knowledge about the status of the current pressure or the condition of the instrument. For example, a measured value within the defined pressure range is displayed in green, a measured value outside the limit in red. For the best possible view of the display, the case head can be rotated and the display tilted electronically through 180°. The PSD-4-ECO has been designed for installation in tight spaces. With a diameter of
only 29 mm and a vertical orientation of the electrical output, it can be fitted almost anywhere.

SIMPLE TO INSTALL DIN-RAIL MOUNTED EMC CABLE SHIELD CLAMP FROM FOREMOST ELECTRONICS
F
oremost Electronics, the engineering-led Essex based importer and specialist distributor of electromechanical components, announces the availability of the icotek
LFC cable clamp with EMC shield connection for use on the industry standard 30mm DIN- Rail shape C.
The new LFC cable shield clamp allows the cable shield to be connected directly to
the DIN-Rail while allowing an existing cable clamp to be used for strain relief. This cost- effective EMC shield clamp is easy to use and offers very effective earthing of single cable shields.
Key features include space-saving assembly, no tools required, high vibration
resistance, large clamping range from 3 to 30 mm, large shielding contact area, shield contact and strain relief separated and fits all standard DIN C-rails (16-17 mm).
Icotek EMC cable shielding components and cable entry systems create secure
connections for machinery and equipment may be used in a wide range of industries and applications including smart buildings and factories, machine tools, railway technology, wind turbines, solar technology, vehicle construction and packaging machines, automation and robotics.
Other EMC shielding products available form Foremost include shield clamps, cable
glands, strain relief plates and cable entry systems including the world’s first split EMC cable gland for preassembled cables which also provides IP54 protection for use in extreme outdoor conditions.
Emma Kempster, Key Account Manager, of Foremost Electronics, comments;” The new
icotek DIN-Rail mounted LFC EMC cable shield clamp will be of interest to panel builders and system integrators installing electrical equipment in control panels, factories or buildings where DIN-Rail systems are commonly used.”

sensors, for applications when the demand is for low torque and/or high bandwidth, providing precise, dynamic measurement of rotary and static torque from 10mNm up to 100Nm and for bandwidths of up to 50kHz. They replace Sensor Technology’s E200 ORT
OPTICAL ROTARY TORQUE SENSORS SUITABLE FOR LOW TORQUE AND HIGH BAND WIDTH MEASUREMENTS S
ensor Technology has launched the digital TorqSense ORT 230/240 optical rotary torque
series, with new electronics delivering significant gains in resolution, frequency response, and faster digital data. The high speed capability comes from an inherently low inertia, while non-contact
operation ensures a long reliable life with high accuracy. The optical operating principle ensures excellent noise immunity. ORT 230 sensors provide fixed voltage or current analogue outputs – one for torque
and one for speed or power. The ORT 240 features two user selectable voltage or current analogue outputs – one for torque and one for speed, power or peak torque – plus digital outputs including RS232, CANbus and USB for interfacing with modern instrumentation, and transducer configuration software for making changes to transducer variables.

METCASE EXTENDS TECHNOMET 19” MINI-RACK RANGE
M
ETCASE has added 5U as a standard height to its TECHNOMET 19” range of
mini-racks for table-top instrumentation. They are now available in all heights from 3U to 6U as standard. These advanced mini-racks are designed
for mounting standard 19” subracks, chassis and front panels. Applications include test and measurement equipment, industrial computers and control systems. TECHNOMET 19” enclosures consist of
two diecast aluminium front and rear bezels, the case body with internal chassis and a removable rear panel. Four snap-on cover trims create a flush-fitting design. The front and rear bezels include standard 19” panel mounts with caged nut
apertures for fixing the equipment. The rear and base panels are ventilated to aid cooling. Inside there are two subrack/chassis support rails. All case panels are fitted with M4 threaded pillars for earth connections.
