AUMA Actuators Turnkey Valve Control System A
UMA has supplied a turnkey valve automation solution to Indonesian oil and gas company Pertamina that includes explosion-proof multi-
AUMA’s SIMA control system was successfully integrated into the tank farm’s existing SCADA system using Modbus RTU protocol to communicate with the valve actuators and the higher-level SCADA system. The actuators connect to the SIMA in a ring topology with integrated redundancy. At SCADA level, the AUMA system operates in parallel to an existing system with older actuators using a proprietary communications protocol.
“This project shows that upgrading to AUMA in existing plants is possible at any time and without any problems,” says Stefan Kolbe, Sales Director Southeast Asia at AUMA.
Auma Actuators Ltd PROXIMITY PROBES
Compliant with API670 and Bently compatible, these probes are designed for machinery protection in the non-contact measurement of shaft vibration and displacement. Durable PPS over-molded probe tips with stainless steel bodies to withstand harsh conditions when monitoring critical machinery such as turbines and compressors. Available in 5mm, 8mm, 11mm and 25mm versions together with extension cables and mounting fittings. In addition, Probe Drivers RE also available with easy mounting and connections in both 4-20mA and voltage output versions.

Turnkey instrument protection solutions C
omplete, pre-fabricated 'hook-ups' for field-based plant instrumentation - based on proven designs - are available via
Intertec's SAFE LINK service. The service covers the complete concept-to-installation process including design, assembly and on-site delivery. SAFE LINK can save substantial time and money on projects, and increase instrumentation performance and reliability. Typical applications include field instrumentation nodes such as pressure or differential pressure transmitters - supplied complete with manifold, tubing, plus appropriate enclosure and environmental protection. Intertec can deal with the spectrum of requirements from simple freeze protection to extreme climates. Intertec has many families of enclosures, cabinets and shelters to suit different requirements. All
are fabricated using unique composite-GRP materials, which are exceptionally durable and corrosion resistant. Intertec's designs pass on the benefit of enormous protection know-how and typically improve performance and reliability, and lower TCO, because of the proven nature of the designs.

ow available from HBM is the very latest EVIDAS software, which is designed to significantly accelerate
and facilitate data acquisition. Simple to use, EVIDAS software features an intuitive user
interface that provides immediate visual feedback. By simply connecting the smart sensors (TEDS), it takes two simple clicks to display measurement results, without any programming, saving users valuable set-up time and effort, which is a considerable benefit for those on the move. In addition to TEDS and the sensor database, EVIDAS
software also provides two innovative configuration options; a convenient dialog for configuring individual channel’s and
direct configuration in the channel table. Complete with its own cloud integration for global data access, data can be conveniently stored, exported and
used for review in all common formats from anywhere in the world. HBM

Mega_Bridge…
ega_Bridge adds flexible and fully featured internet protocol (IP) connectivity to the well-established
Mega_Link family of telemetry communication units used to pass two-way instrumentation, measurement and control data between sensors, equipment and industrial plant.
• Telemetry & Control • Flexible Communications • Sensor & Data Interfaces • Built-In Security VPN • Remote Node Management
Communications via Cloud Services
Mega_Bridge can communicate on a closed LAN or across networks and sites via Amazon Web Services, fully administered by Churchill Controls. This enables important security features using TLSv1.2 for authenticated and encrypted communications channels. VPN routing further secures the network, encrypting data for a fully secured and transparent system for end users.
