TECHNOLOGY IN ACTION ADVERTORIAL
Cirrus Research launch new calibration offering in the UK
any model, make or brand can now be serviced by its team of in-house engineers.
L
Electro-Hydraulic Servo-Valves utilising sapphire technology™
have been available for many decades but for many user’s early technology was associated with high running costs and down time due to weaknesses in valve design and/or poorly designed systems. This was the catalyst for the birth of Star Hydraulics
S
who started business by offering to service/repair servo- valves at a time when many OEM’s saw little merit in extending the working life of broken valves. It was clear from the outset that there was a pattern of common malfunctions of existing servo valve design such as 'Ball Glitch”, 'Inlet Orifice Erosion”, 'Inlet Orifice Release” and 'Flexure Sleeve Fatigue” which were all contributing to down-time as performance deteriorated. These were key factors in our re-engineering and re-manufacturing program which has won us acclaim around the world on many prestigious applications where life extension and greater reliability has been achieved.

The UK-based calibration service enables existing clients to ensure their equipment meets all UK and ISO standards required by Noise at Work legislation, as well as environmental noise guidelines. But, for the first time, the team can now offer the same high-quality service to noise measurement instruments from other manufacturers.
"Thanks to technology upgrades in-house we can now guarantee the same high level of service that we give on our own equipment," said Cirrus Marketing Manager James Tingay, "We are confident the extension to the range of equipment we can now look at will be extremely popular and received our first non-Cirrus equipment to calibrate within days of announcing the news."
Cirrus is also offering as 10% discount on any first calibration order for non-Cirrus equipment.
Jim added: "Using our UK-based centre also means there are no lengthy delays in getting your equipment back. We are offering an extremely fast turn-around, shaving days if not weeks off some of our competitors who send the equipment abroad to be calibrated – this results in measurement downtime which can be costly and frustrating."
The end to end service includes: · Fixed Price Policy with No Hidden Extras · Price Includes Updates, Minor Repairs & Adjustments · UKAS Calibration Option · Collection Service Option
