Show preview u Northern Manufacturing & electronics 2019
Northern Manufacturing & Electronics returns to EventCity, Manchester, on 2 and 3 October 2019. Data acquisition systems, measurement equipment and machine tools will all be on display at the free-to-attend event
and process industries across the North, the show’s wide- ranging portfolio of components, production hardware and engineering services makes it an extremely useful event for anyone involved in any kind of industrial enterprise. Components are one of the biggest draws to the event –

top of the list, in fact, for nearly half the show’s expected 3,000+ visitors. Among the 250 or so companies expected to participate this year are many specialising in data acquisition and management. One of the big names joining Northern for the first time in 2019 is Eurotherm – part of Schneider Electric - a leading global supplier of temperature and process control, measurement and data recording systems, designed to add value to industrial processes, improving quality, reducing waste and ensuring data is kept safe. Some of the familiar faces returning this year include ESI Technology, with its specialised range of pressure transducers and pressure transmitters, featuring Silicon-on-Sapphire sensor technology. The firm’s areas of expertise include oil & gas, subsea, aerospace, defence and many more. Labfacility supplies an extensive range of temperature
sensors, accessories, thermocouple welders and thermocouple connectors. The firm manufactures precision digital thermometers, data loggers, alarms and controllers along with temperature calibration equipment and thermocouple cables. Labfacility is now also the UK distributor of the Verigo Cold Chain range of data loggers. At Northern 2019, the firm will also show its expanded range of thermometer kits, race kits, HVAC and catering kits. Nexus returns to highlight its unique range of portable data carriers that are specifically designed for industrial use and have been tested in the harshest environments possible. Other ruggedised components on show include connectors from Fischer Connectors, and tough enclosures from Extreme Cases. Measurement and analysis equipment is also well-
represented at Northern 2019. FARO returns with a range of measurement solutions such as the FAROARM Quantum series, the FARO FOCUS Laser Scanner, the latest FARO Laser Tracker Vantage with 6DoF for accurate large volume measurement and the CAD-based measurement and reporting software CAM2 2018. Another major international manufacture returning for Northern 2019 is Nikon Metrology; its high performance measuring and precision instruments are intended to support the design-

through-manufacturing process, allowing manufacturers to deliver premium quality products in a shorter time. Some of the solutions highlighted will be X-Ray and CT inspection, shop floor and portable equipment, plus a wide range of optical and laser solutions for many different applications. Zeiss is another well-know name in the fields of optics
and optoelectronics. Its product line ranges from complete solutions for multi-dimensional metrology, both in the lab and in production, to offering complete microscopy solutions for biomedical research, the healthcare sector and high-tech industries. Highlighted at Northern 2019 will be, amongst other solutions, the O-INSPECT, DuraMax, Smartproof 5 and Smartzoom 5. GOM will demonstrate some of its software and innovative solutions for 3D coordinate measuring technology and 3D testing, developed on the basis the latest research results and technologies. The show is also an excellent place to see the latest
machine tools and advanced manufacturing systems in action, with a wide range of machines being demonstrated live, from 5-axis machining to 3D printing. Leading nationwide distributors returning for 2019 include XYZ Machine Tools, Haas Automation, Laser Lines, Tri-tech 3D and HPC Laser. Other leading companies include Middlesbrough-based Dynamic Machine Tools and EDM specialists Makrep EDM Solutions. Production hardware on show includes marking, printing and traceability systems from Brady and Dakota Integrated Solutions, workspace storage from Bott and manufacturing software from CIM Software, ANSY Spaceclaim, 123-Insight and Redthorn. The exhibition is supported by the two main regional
aerospace and automotive business organisations, the North West Aerospace Alliance (NWAA) and the Northern Automotive Alliance (NAA), in addition to several other well-known national organisations, such as Composites UK, the SMMT, the GTMA, the BGA and the CBM. Each adds a wealth of specialised knowledge and experience to the event, delivering both a directly accessible industry resource and knowledge-sharing opportunities via the show’s extensive complimentary technical seminar programme. Entry to Northern Manufacturing & Electronics 2019 and
on-site parking is free with easy accessibility by road. EventCity is also very accessible by public transport from central Manchester. To register online for free tickets, simply visit
