KNIPEX UK raises over £1,000 for band
of builders through sponsored walks The KNIPEX UK team members have raised over £1,000 for construction charity Band of Builders, lacing up their boots throughout the month of July for a series of sponsored walks
T
his included a group walk that brought the team together for a shared goal and a
picnic-style pit stop along the way. The initiative, driven by staff from across the
UK business, saw colleagues walking individually, with their dogs, or during office lunch breaks, with the aim to hit the overall target of 450 miles (the distance from the UK office to KNIPEX head office in Wuppertal, Germany) to raise funds and awareness for a cause close to the heart of the construction sector. The highlight of the campaign was a group
walk, bringing together KNIPEX UK team members for a collective effort and was rounded off with a well-earned picnic that gave the team time to reflect on the cause they were supporting. “Our main event was the group walk, which
gave us a chance to come together as a team and show our support in person,” said Laura Broadbent, Marketing Executive for KNIPEX UK. “But a lot of the effort happened in people’s own time. Whether it was a lunchtime loop near the

office, a longer weekend walk with the dog or time spent walking while on holiday, everyone found a way to contribute, and we’re proud of what we raised.” Band of Builders, the chosen charity for this
fundraiser, supports tradespeople and their families who are battling illness, injury, or financial hardship. With a growing number of project builds and support initiatives across the
UK, the charity has become a crucial support network for the construction community, something KNIPEX UK recognises as invaluable. KNIPEX, globally known for its high-quality
pliers and hand tools, has a long-standing relationship with the trades and understands the pressures faced by those working in construction and related sectors. This latest fundraising activity forms part of
the UK team’s wider support for industry-related initiatives and charities that offer tangible help to those in need. The £1,000 raised will go directly to Band of Builders to support their ongoing projects, from home adaptations for injured tradespeople to wellbeing support and financial assistance for those facing tough times.
