70 Years of manufacturing excellence: Essentra Components at the Engineering Design Show 2025
This year, Essentra Components proudly celebrates 70 years of manufacturing excellence, and what better place to showcase our journey, innovation and future vision than at the Engineering Design Show 2025
F
or seven decades, we have partnered with engineers, product designers and manufacturers to deliver solutions that
keep projects moving and designs performing at their best.
A heritage built on experience Founded in Kidlington, Oxfordshire, Essentra Components has grown from a local manufacturer into a global leader. Today, we operate 14 manufacturing sites worldwide, including our flagship facility in Kidlington, giving us the unique ability to serve customers with both local responsiveness and international scale. Over the years, our portfolio has expanded to
cover tens of thousands of standard and custom components across critical categories such as caps and plugs, fasteners, access hardware and cable management solutions. These products may often be the smallest parts in a design, but they are essential to ensuring safety, reliability and efficiency.
Innovation driving design Essentra Components has consistently invested in research and development to keep pace with the evolving needs of industries as diverse as automotive, electronics, industrial machinery, medical devices and specialist vehicles. Our design and technical teams work closely
with customers to address complex challenges, providing guidance not only on selecting the right part but also on optimising performance and sustainability. Whether through materials innovation, rapid prototyping, or supply chain support, we make it easier for engineers to turn ideas into reality.
A sustainable future:
new product launches As part of our commitment to building a more sustainable future, Essentra Components has proudly introduced a new range of general protection products made from 100 per cent post- consumer recycled (PCR) material.
