CENTIEL & G4S Facilities Management Team-up To Provide Critical Power Protection for Channel Islands’ UPS Installations

With CENTIEL’s 4th generation, three-phase, modular UPS system now successfully deployed in two data centers on Guernsey, G4S Facilities Management’s engineering staff are undergoing extensive technical training to be able to provide first level support, PAN Island.

Wayne McKane, critical power and HVAC engineer, G4S Facilities Management confirms: “We chose CENTIEL as our partner and trusted advisor to deliver these important projects as the company is a leading manufacturer at the very forefront of the industry. At the start of 2018, we were looking for a truly modular solution to ensure efficient running and maintenance of systems within data centres, where our staff could be easily trained to exchange modules if required. We were also looking for the very latest technology to ensure maximum availability combined with a low total cost of ownership and CENTIEL ticked all the boxes.

Planners back Marshall-Tufflex GRP trunking solution for iconic Brighton hotel

explained why GRP cable containment was the ideal solution: “We could not use metal due to the hotel’s position on the seafront, so the GRP provided a robust and saline- resistant solution. The sandy colour of the Marshall-Tufflex product also fitted perfectly with the back of the building and was recommended by planners. “This was the first time we had used GRP trays but we modified the product to make it

The GRP trays were supplied by Phase Electrical, Hastings. A spokesman for The Grand Brighton said: “Following feedback from our guests we made the decision to install air conditioning throughout our 201 bedrooms. “We selected Marshall-Tufflex based on its top quality products and its established
