systems and services, returns to Birmingham for three days of rail industry networking and demonstration. The show, which is the country’s
premier rail industry exhibition, accommodates companies serving all aspects of the rail infrastructure and rolling stock sectors. As the industry undergoes a landmark

ROLLING STOCK LEADERS LINED UP French transport giant Alstom, which used Railtex 2017 to unveil plans to introduce a new regional EMU platform for the UK, as well as launching its new CLever cantilever for the country’s rail network, will be returning to Birmingham. Railtex 2019 will see the company
exhibit new designs and innovations, to be confirmed closer to the show. Also confirmed is Stadler Rail, which is
supplying UK operator Greater Anglia with a new fleet of Flirt electric inter-city and electro-diesel regional multiple- units and a fleet of 17 modernised metro trains for the 10.5km Glasgow Subway to convert to driverless operation, will also be using Railtex 2019 as a platform for its latest product range. The company made its Railtex debut in 2017 and will make a highly-anticipated return.

NEW NAMES MAKING NEC DEBUT Railtex 2019 will also host a large number of new exhibitors, presenting their offerings for the first time. Debut exhibitors include Forbo Flooring Systems, a commercial and rail flooring specialist, Bespoke Composite Panels & Corex Honeycomb (Part of Enocam Ltd), manufacturers of aluminium honeycomb core material and Rail Safety Systems, suppliers of safe maintenance equipment. These new exhibitors will join many
high-profile returning exhibitors, including British Steel, HS2, Knorr- Bremse, Mechan, PULSAR, Siemens, Unipart Rail and many more, for a jam- packed three days which promise to generate many essential leads and contacts for attendees.
GLOBAL NAMES CENTRE STAGE The show promises to bring an international flavour to the Midlands, with organisations from around the world scheduled to appear across the three days. Confirmed exhibitors include Austrian systems and components manufacturer Liebherr Transportation Systems, French fibre optic cable manufacturing company Nexans, Italian train seat production firm FISA, Swedish interlocking design automation company Prover Technology and Taiwanese telecommunications and networks provider CTC Union, amongst many others from countries across the globe. Attending Railtex 2019 also gives visitors access to a range of industry keynote speeches, project updates and technical seminars that are accredited by the CPD Certification
Service.The Digital Railway,
a project aimed at meeting the demands of ever-growing passenger numbers on a squeezed and ageing rail network, will be featured through a new forum that merges project management with supply chain to allow a collaborative review of the programme. The Digital Rail Forum will explore topics such as thought leadership, insight, sense testing, qualitative engagement and cross- fertilisation to ensure the programme’s goals are met.
RAILTEX IN NUMBERS More than 9,000 people attended the 2017 edition of Railtex, with 7,052 visiting rail industry managers, engineers and buyers, a further 2,703 professionals of exhibiting companies. As well as providing a shop window for
the UK’s leading suppliers of railway technology and services, Railtex 2019 will also confirm the appeal of the British market for foreign companies, with over 50 international professionals.
