ello there and welcome to the first industry focus of the year, the 2018
Company Showcase, which brings together all the successes of last year into one comprehensive pack and celebrates the achievements of both individuals, events, products and companies alike. And my, what a year it was. Congratulations to all you power
protection people, you terrific trainers, cabling cads and data centre dudes, from everyone who offered their expertise on a electrical project, all the way across to the installers and engineers with the industry know-how, you are the true heroes of the industry. From championing sustainable change and offering solutions to a wide range of problems, from safety and best practise to energy efficient evolution, you are the ones who can and will make a positive change. 2018 has been a year jam packed with
new ideas and innovations, crammed with product launches and cutting-edge
technologies, and the future has never looked brighter. As autonomous manufacturing continues to expand, ethical questions of safety and over- reliance on tech are explored. Cloud based management systems have once again risen in popularity and the industry is always searching for the most efficient and least expensive methods of production, without compromising on quality. Security of data, and the management of , has become paramount, with many high profile breaches raising the alarm. I continue to be impressed by the sheer
determination and work ethic of the people in this industry, despite the woes of the skills gap and the uncertainty of Brexit, you have continued to thrive. So, here’s to you and all your hard work. I have every faith that you will continue
in this vain in 2019 and I’m looking forward to seeing what is revealed.
