THE LASER USER

POLISH FABRICATOR VALUES HIGH QUALITY & RELIABILITY FROM EAGLE

“For us, the most important thing was the quality of the cut holes and the capacity to process sheets up to 25 mm,” said Łukasz Pospieszny, Specialist in Cost Estimation and Optimisation at KHS. The company began its research by consulting other fibre laser machine owners and users, as well as testing several laser cutters. “The opinions about Eagle were very positive, both in terms of machine construction, output quality, and service, which was crucial to us,” added Pospieszny.

The next step was a visit to Eagle’s headquarters in Wałcz, where KHS could test the machine with their own materials and observe its performance first-hand, and Eagle passed with flying colours. Eagle’s eVision significantly accelerated the production process at KHS Ostroróg, as they no longer depended on external sources for project completion.

Over decades of work and experience, KHS Ostroróg in Poland has become a leading manufacturer specialising in the assembly and renovation of production lines, machines, and equipment for the agricultural, food and wood processing industries. KHS primarily fabricates low-carbon and stainless steel structures in thicknesses ranging from 1 to 25 mm.

Tadeusz Hańczyk, the owner of KHS, recalled, “Prior to purchasing the fibre laser, we were cutting with plasma, but we could only use it for jobs where achieving high quality and exact dimensions weren’t critical. ”

When the search for the right machine began, KHS had their priorities straight: quality, quality, and more quality.

“Production efficiency has increased, we’ve sped up the process, and we no longer have to wait for materials from subcontractors,” said Łukasz Pospieszny.

SIMPSON TECHNOLOGY FACILITATES HAN’S LASER SALE TO UK JOB SHOP

Based in Stone, England, Prolazer Components is a dedicated precision engineering facility providing laser cutting, fabrication and welding services.

In the past, Tim James, Director at Prolazer Components Ltd, had used mostly CO2

lasers. In 2022 Tim decided to buy a Han’s Laser G3015 HF – 8kW because it was a mid-range machine, better build quality than many similar machines on the market and priced sensibly. Tim found his visit at the Han’s Laser factory and headquarters in Shenzhen, China extremely important to convince himself of the build quality and machine capability. Furthermore, Tim knew that Scott Simpson, MD at Simpson Technology, would be providing an excellent product along with reliable service.

Tim James’ experience of dealing with Simpson Technology was excellent. “The installation went pretty smoothly, there were issues during the first six months and one particular instance resulted in a speck of dust getting into the cutting head. A Han’s engineer had to fly over to fix it but it was dealt with straight away and the machine has been performing to expectations since then.”

Simpson Technology is pleased to report that another Han’s Laser customer is convinced about the excellent build quality.
