HR Solutions
Preparing for a crucial year ahead
It has been a momentous year for developments in employment law and the year ahead will continue to herald signifi cant change in the world of HR. Award-winning people experts HR Solutions advise that
employers should make it a priority to educate themselves on new regulations that will aff ect their operations. Having the right plans in place for how to respond to the legislation
will be vital, and business owners should focus heavily on implementing strategic planning and eff ective people strategy to support this. HR Solutions’ recently published white paper, ‘Strategic HR
thining for 2024; Aligning People and Business Strategy, is a useful free resource for SME business owners to do this, by delving into the latest HR trends and best practice that should be the key focus in the coming months. The people experts have also launched a new series of free
informative webinars, entitled A New Deal for Working People, which will be split into three bitesize chunks, to help guide business owners through the changes. T e seminars will run during the fi rst quarter of 2025. HR Essentials for Small Employers is fi rst up on January 9 and will
look at how to reduce the risk of legal issues for SMEs, specifi cally focusing on essential policies, recruiting and retaining talent and potential pitfalls. On February 13, it will be Understanding Pay Implications of the
Employment Rights Bill. In this workshop, the specialist team will explore how the Bill’s provisions, including the introduction of a genuine living wage, the removal of the age discriminatory age bands and the strengthened worker protections will impact wages and the budgeting implications for SMEs.
Finally, the Virtual Employment Law Seminar on March 6 will
give more specific details about recent and forthcoming changes to UK Employment Law in 2025 and how business owners can protect themselves from the risk of future employment claims. During the seminar, experts will cover The Employment
Rights Bill, the forthcoming Equality (Race and Disability) Bill, statutory rates for 2025/26 and significant case rulings from the past 12 months. HR Solutions also offer guidance on how to ensure regulatory
compliance, understanding more about asynchronous working and adopting artificial intelligence to streamline people practices. Operations Director Sue Watson said: “With significant
employment law developments on the horizon, now is the time to consider how HR must evolve to be ready to protect businesses in 2025 and beyond. “Ensuring you have the right plans in place for how to respond
to these changes will be vital to ensure the right structure, resource and skills to support the delivery of business goals and objectives. “The greater understanding employers have of the new
regulations, the easier they will find it to protect their business and navigate the year ahead. “There has never been a more important time to keep up
with employment law but with the guidance of our webinar team, business owners can ensure that they have everything they need to stay compliant and support their staff confidently and effectively.”
