Dunore Utility Connections
Navigating the complex maze of utility connections
Founded in 2021, and recently named New Business of the Year at the Northamptonshire Business Excellence Awards, Dunore Utility Connections has enjoyed success way beyond its forecast growth plan thanks to key appointments in its fi rst year. Upon setting up the business, Jon Newsham
and Tim Carroll forecasted conservative growth, expecting to increase the headcount by February 2022. Market response, however, led to two part- time hires in October 2021. Those hires were increased to full-time in November 2021 and since then Dunore Utility Connections has added three more employees, bringing the headcount to seven. It was this rapid expansion that allowed the fi rm to successfully deliver more than 400 projects in its

fi rst 12 months, predominantly through repeat business and word of mouth, driving month-on-month growth and a 79% gross profi t margin. Dunore works with accredited suppliers on behalf of clients in the
construction and property development sectors to ensure utilities are installed and then up and running at the appropriate time. By bringing together a team with a wide range of work experience,
Dunore has built a reputation as a trusted partner for those facing the challenge of navigating the complex maze of utilities. Jon said: “We are very proud of what we have achieved, we’ve created
new jobs in the area, reinvested in the community by choosing local suppliers, and enhanced Northamptonshire’s reputation as a centre of expertise in the utilities industry. “Our growth has come about organically, which is the true test of
success of a service business. An increased workload demanded that we expand the team, but in turn, the fact that we have built a talented and experienced team that gives us the confi dence to increase the number of projects we work on, and so the business grows as a result. “We’re very proud of the team that we’ve hired and the opportunities that has given us, and we make the same promises to them as we do to our customers. We’re in it for the long haul, and will invest to ensure we all grow and benefi t, and for that reason, we want to showcase the excellent personnel we’ve brought on board. “So, we’ve asked them to say a little bit about themselves because
they are the foundation upon which Dunore Utility Connections is built.”
