Priya Baskaran published “Searching for Justice: Incorporating Critical Legal

Lise Beske’s “Horizontal Federalism and the Big State ‘Problem’” will be published in the Boston
College Law Review. She gave a one-hour presentation to over 200 Nassau County, New York, district attorneys on the life and career of Justice Sandra Day O’Connor in March. In April, she participated in a panel discussion on Justice O’Connor for the Women’s Bar Association of DC. She gave commentary on Laura Aviel’s presentation on SB8 in the faculty speaker series. Beske published “The Court and the Private Plaintiff” in 2023.
Jerry Comizio appeared on WTTG-TV’s On the Hill program to discuss the causes of the recent wave
of the three large bank failures in the US and the emergency acquisition of Credit Suisse by UBS. He also appeared on the CBS Morning and Evening News
discussing the federal takeover of First Republic Bank and the legal and policy issues raised by the US Treasury Department and FDIC in potentially extending federal deposit insurance coverage to uninsured deposits.
Angela J. Davis moderated a Black History Month webinar for the Institute for Innovation in
Prosecution called “Overcoming Obstacles: Insights from Black Women Prosecutors” featuring State’s Attorney Kim Foxx and District Attorney Dalia Racine. She was appointed to the Advisory Board for the Institute for Innovation in Prosecution at John Jay College.
Robert Dinerstein was honored as “Advocate, Leader, Change Agent” for years of service as board chair for
