It is hosting two workshops by monks from the TashiLhunpo Monastery in Tibet. At 10 am and 2 pm, theywill be demonstrating the pains taking, traditional TibetanBhuddist art of making sand mandalas. Sand mandalas are unique to Tibetan Bud dhism andinvolve creating pictures, one grain of sand at a time, which are then swept up and dispersed into flow ing water as part of purification and healing rituals.
