Japanese car maker Lex­ us has released a new ver­ sion of its JtX premium SUV. The firm claims that its RX 45oh Advance mod­ el is even more generously equipped than before, with the added luxury of a Mark Levinson premium 7.1 sur­ round sound system as standard. Despite the inclusion of


the Lexus-bespoke audio package (that has a £1,000 list price) and a set of new- design 19-inch alloy, wheels, the price tag for the new Ad­ vance variant is unchanged, matching its predecessor at


£48,495. The Mark Levinson sys­


tem includes 15 speakers


plus a DVD player, rear-view camera and Lexus’s com­ puter mouse-like Remote Touch audio and navigation control system. A premium navigation plus Bluetooth for hands-free phone calls and audio streaming are al­ so provided. ■ In matching the specifi­ cation of the RX 45oh Luxu­ ry, the Advance specification includes Smart Entry and Start, dual-zone climate con­ trol, front and rear parking sensors, leather upholstery, heated, eight-way adjustable front seats, heated, auto- dimming and folding door mirrors, automatic wind­ screen wipers, and rear pri­ vacy glass.
