Ribblesdale High School- Clitheroe Pupils from Ribblesdale High School Clitheroe, paid a visit to the town's Salisbury's store to present a cheque of £3,300which the school raised earlier this year for Sport Relief, of which Salisbury's is the key sponsor. Lauren Colbert from year 11 was given the honour of presenting Howard with the cheque as she was the pupil who raised the most money.

Colne Park High School Colne Park High students Harry Eyre and Amber Brunton have reached the top of their sport, retiring as the British Junior Champions in both Modern and Classical sequence ballroom dancing, winning all eight dances outright a t the Blackpool Junior Dance Festival. Following hundreds of hours of training, thousands of miles travelling the country and 7 years together, during the final year of competing together they've won every major championship across the country, including the North of England, Northern Counties, English and United Kingdom Championships, finishing with the most prestigious-The British Double.
St John Southworth RC Primary Young pupils at St John Southworth RC Primary School have once again showed themselves to be the best gymnasts for their age group in Pendle. The School returned triumphant from the Level 2 Sainsbury's school games held in Burnley and will now go on to the Level 3 county championships in Blackpool for the second year running. Individual pupils were also recognised with Saint John Southworth pupils named as the best three Years 3 and 4 gymnasts in Pendle.
Moorland School Moorland School in Clitheroe's football
team have had a tremendous season being crowned the Independent Schools' Football Association Under 16 Shield winners) and then going on to win the Under 15 Lancashire County Cup. Ridgewood Community College The pupils from Ridgewood Community
High School visited Waterpark on Coniston
* Waters as part of their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award. They were split into four
teams to compete in events such as ghyll scrambling, indoor and outdoor climbing, abseiling, caving, sailing on individual fun boats or on the big catamaran, kayaking and canoeing and hiking. The school trip was designed to promote team building, communication and problem solving.
Hameldon Community College Students from Hameldon were very fortunate to be taken to see the famous bright lights of London's West End! They visited Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, London Eye, Tower Bridge. They enj'oyed watching the performers on the street at Covent Garden and also went to the famous West End production Matilda.
Lomeshaye Junior School, Nelson Year 4 visited the RSPB Discovery Centre in Lytham St Annes in conjunction with their Our World topic and their focus on rivers. The centre is based on the estuary of the River Ribble and the children learned a lot
of information about river formations and tried their hands at beachcombing, sand dune climbing and sahdcastle building.
Also, children from . Year 6 enjoyed a ■ residential visit to Borwick Hall Outdoor Education Centre which provided a range of outdoor activities including Caving, Rock Climbing, High Ropes activities, Canoeing, Kayaking, Bushcraft, Archery,. Ghyll Scrambling, Mountain days and much more. The programme was designed to deliver engaging activities for the children that are stimulating and encourage team building whilst enhancing their personal and social development.

Joe Winkley has been a governor here for many years and is a volunteer, serving on both the full governing body and various committees. Joe is committed to wanting the best for our pupils and as such has supported them in a number of ways both inside and outside of the classroom. He ‘ always asks and enquires about the students and how they are getting on. Not afraid of a bit of DIY, he, along with other governors, have worked on * various small projects to improve the environment for all of us at Fisher More. Joe is a keen musician and a very able pianist. He uses his skill and talent to accompany both the pupil and staff choirs at performances and school liturgies, as well as all the regular practices. Colne Primet Academy Students from Colne Primet Academy celebrated an extraordinary achievement recently in their third Challenge week, by raising well over £400 for Cancer Research UK! At the start of each half term, Academy students have been participating in challenge weeks. Previous challenges have been. “Beat the Teacher', 'Trash to Treasure' music quiz and sports events. By the end of the Charity Challenge week the students had raised a whopping £446.46! Representatives from Cancer Research UK were delighted with the students drive to raise money! shaved off to raise money for cancer charities. Destiny and Ayesha, both 14, made the brave decision after being inspired by the secondary school's fund-raising efforts for CARITA5, formerly St Joseph's Penny, a diocesan charity which helps local children in need. “Both girls are typical self- conscious teenagers and were nervous but braved the scissors at the Barber's Shop in Burnley for the benefit of others,' said their form teacher Liz Makinson.
