Staff at the Three Fishes pub and restaurant in Mitton are backing the local children's charity Child Action North- westto raise the profile of the peed for therapeutic counsel

ling inthe Ribble Valley. It. is the latest in the line of Ribble Valley Inns, managed by the Northcote group, to raise funds for local charity through ascheme that collects a 2op donation on every cover. CraigBancroft,co-founder

of the Northcote Group, ex plained: “At the end of their meal, customers will find there is an option to make a 2op donation per head when paying their tab. “It’s entirely optional,

but we find it’s such a small amount that most people are happy to donate in this way. “Over the years we have

raised over £15,000 for char ities such as the Forest of Bowland, when we bought a Tramper vehicle, and East

Lancashire Alzheimer’s So ciety.” The 2op donations from

the Three Fishes will go to wards Child Action North west’s therapeutic counselling service, Jigsaw. B u s in e s sm an Roger

Dugdale, the founding pa tron of the fundraising group Raised in Ribble Valley, has launched a drive for local people to get behind the work that Child Action Northwest does with families experienc ing crisis in the borough. He said: “I am delighted

that the Three Fishes is sup porting this important cause, which is close to my heart. “I’m sure people will be

happy to help such a worth while cause that’s so close to home.” • Tickets are still availa

ble for “An Intimate Evening” gourmet charity dinner at Northcote Manor. The evening includes

entertainment by Paul Do- bey, champagne, canapes and a three course meal. To book, call Margaret Evans on 01254 248165 or email evans. margaretgo@yahoo.com.
