A Clitheroe Classic
If you eqjoy a spot of classical music, then you will be pleased to knowthat Clitheroe Concerts Society is about to host its 63rd season of chamber music concerts in town. The tradition of bringing world renowned muscians to Clitheroe to perform works by Beethoven, Mozart and others dates-back to 1952. The season is made up of six concerts (all held on Wednes days at 8 pm in the CRGS Sixth Form Centre, York Street) with an additional summer event this year, a collabora tion with Ribble Valley Jazz & Blues Club that has led to a gig at the Atrium Cafe Bar on Friday night. The season proper though kicks off next Wednesday, October 8th, with pianist Martin Roscoe (pictured
above). Tickets are £14 for individual concerts or £54 fir the season, saving £30. If available, seats are free to full-time students and accompanied children. Pay on the door or buy in advance from Platform Gallery or online at
