out to Biliington FIRE-FIGHTERS extinguished a fire that started in the fireplace of a house in Biliington on Monday. They were called out at just before 7 p.m. to
the house in Sunnyside Avenue and used an aqua pack, hearth kit and thermal imaging cam era while dealing with the fire. Severe damage was caused to the fireplace lintel and there was light smoke damage to the front room.
Woman hurt in crash
A 50-YEAR-OLD woman was injured during an accident on the A59 near Clitheroe at just before 1 p.m. on Monday. The collision which happened at Bramley
Meade roundabout involving a van and a car resulted in the woman sustaining injuries to her neck and foot. Paramedics took her to the Royal Blackburn Hospital for treatment.
