THE second lecture of the season in Clitheroe Library takes place on Tuesday and features Frank Duckett on
“Nepal; Huff and Puff in the Himalayas”. -The illustrated talk visits three cities - Kathmandu,
Patan and Bhaktapur - and follows a trek into Sherpa country towards Everest and finally with views of four of Nepal’s eight 8,000 metre peaks.
On Thursday, a charity sportsman’s dinner for Uit-
heroe Rugby Club is being held at Mytton Fold Hotel, Langho, when the quest speaker is Scott Quinnell, former Welsh and British Lions International Rugby player.
