Burnley, the retired hospital the-- atre porter lived in Lowerhouse Lane for many years. A keen writer, he has written two other books but this is his first one to be published. Richard, a father of four who

photographs were absolutely magical, I had never seen any­ thing like it in my life. That’s where the idea for the book came. I started out with the idea of it being a children’s book, but


now lives in Rawtenstall, said: “I decided to go to university to study creative writing and learn the craft. I also learned that one of the most difficult things of all is getting published. That iswhyl decided to publish it myself.” The story is interwoven with


local legends and myths and Ri­ chard even commissioned artist and sculptor Lynne Knowles to create a scries of magical figures that appear on the photographs. “Away, With the Fairies!,,
