With Christmas now just around the corner preparations are underway to ensure as many kids as possible get a visit from Santa this year. The annual Round Table Christmas Collecdons will once again be visiting all the usual places and everyone is encouraged to bring their children out to see Santa and tell him what they want for Christmas. The Santa Sleigh collections are not just for kids though and raise thousands of pounds for local charities and good causes so please give generously. : .

Clltheroe Round Table has been able to donate in excess of £5,000 per year to causes such as our local East Lancs Hospice, Bowland ■ Pennine Mountain Rescue Team and North West Air Ambulance as well as helping individual cases and some national charities where local people have been known to benefit. ■ ■ . 1 None of this would have been possible without the generosity of Ribble Valley residents who come out in force every year to support Santa and his helpers in their efforts to raise money. It is also worthy of - note that all the money raised by Clitheroe Round Table goes directly to charitable causes and no money is lost to advertising, or administration costs as these are met by the members themselves. This year Santa's. sleigh has meeded a refurbishment so Clitheroe Round Table , are grateful to Rufus Carr Ltd, James AIpe Ltd and Dawson's for their help & supply of materials. The dates on which Santa will be visiting the various areas in the Ribble Valley are listed below. The times of collection for all r weekday routes are,between 18.30 and' 21.00 although Santa will always do his:
