NATIONAL Sausage Week rounded off another outstanding year of success for renowned Clitheroe specialist Cow man’s Famous Sausage Shop.
i The year began well when, in Feb
ruary, Cowman’s won Gold and Silver awards at the Northwest Bpex(British Pig Executive) Regional Roadshow at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton. The ; following month Cowman’s went on to achieve Gold and Silver Awards in the National Supreme Product Awards at Birmingham.
. In October they won
1st.Prize with their “Trent Valley Pork Sausage” in the Traditional Pork Sausage category
at the BPEX National Foodservice Awards held in London. However the highlight was beating
more thari 200 entries to get through to the Northwest final 10 at the “Star Sausage Awards” and meeting “Strictly Come Dancing” judge Craig Revel Horwood. Craig is this years “Sausage
• King”-a n ambassadorial role promot-, ing British sausages.
'
^ He followed on from last year’s ambassador Paul Daniels, who was a competitor on this year’s “Strictly” and shared a few quips with Craig over their shared love of sausages! The team at Cowman’s, headed
by Cliff Cowburn, always work hard at maintaining their high standards and are justifiably proud of this year’s achievements.
