TOURISM trailblazers in the Ribble Valley have been shortlist­ ed for awards by the Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board. . Ribble Valley Food Trail has been shortlisted in the Best Tourism Expe­ rience of the Year category at the


sixth annual Lancashire and Black­ pool Tourism Awards. Other businesses which have been


shortlisted include Clough Bottom Farm Cottages a t Bashall Eaves, which is a finalist in the Sustainable Tourism Award and Self Catering/ Serviced Apartments Award. Meanwhile, two Ribble Valley


eateries. The Carmen Rose, Ribch- ester, and La Locanda Ristorante, Italiano, Gisbum, have been shortlist­ ed for the Taste Lancashire Award, while Mytton Fold Hotel and Golf Complex;-Langho, will compete for the title of Small Hotel of the Year. The awards, which will take place


next Wednesday, June 10th, at Ribby Hall, near Blackpool, and are sup­ ported by the Northwest Regional Development.Agency, will celebrate tourismibusinesses across the county Mike Wilkinson, chief executive of
