Ribble Valley Borough, from a point at its junction with Public Footpath No. 4 Bolton By Bowland at Ray Head, (Grid Ref SD 78 1 6 5227), and running in a general north easterly direction to Blue Scar Laithe and then along Blue Scar Lane, for a distance of approximately 1,248 metres, to the junction to with Settle Road a t Grid Ref SD 7901 5298.
An alternative route is available via other existing highways including public rights of way.
The closure is necessary because o f the likelihood of danger to the public.
