TWO Ribble Valley school boys climbed on to their bikes for charity. Rowland High School pupils Thomas
Elliott and Spencer Ashton cycled 26 miles to raise money for Comic Relief and a can cer charity. The 12-year-old friends set off from
Bolton-by-Bowland and travelled over Waddington Fell to Newton before carry ing on to Slaidburn. The duo completed the journey back to
the starting point via Holden in just seven hours. Throughout their fund-raising journey,
the boys’ parents kept a watchful eye on the pair following them in cars to check on their progress, (s)

Club AN illustrated talk by Mr Bill Honey well was enjoyed by members of the Clover Club at their annual meeting in March. He showed slides
of a cycle ride he made from Lands End to John o’ Groats and his cycle ride from Ro tter dam in Holland to Denmark, both extremely interest ing. Mr Honeywell was raising money for the Christie Hospital and the MS Society. A light supper
