LOCALLY-born poet Cathy Grindrod will read her work and lead a workshop for writers on Saturday, October 7th, at the Pendle Club, in Lowergate from 1- 30 to 4-30 p.m. Cathy is currently the Derbyshire
Poet Laureate and has worked in litera ture development for Nottingham City
and the British Council. As an experi enced project co-ordinator, she has led a wide variety of poetry projects and fes tivals and has also been editor of Poetry International and had five collections of her poetry published. The cost of a place on the workshop is £5. To book, ring 07710 409457.

day, September 16th, at Stage & Screen @ St Mary’s Centre, in Church Street, to launch her new album, “ Ice Cream Inside” . Stage & Screen’s Programme
