It’s California dreamin’ thanks to tasty raisins

A TRIP to California is in store for a lucky quartet from Farmhouse Fare fol lowing the Clitheroe-based pudding company “raisin the roof” at a trans-Atlantic awards ceremony. The m u l ti-aw a rd winning
company scooped first place in this year’s California Raisins Innovation Awards - in 2005 Farmhouse F a re was named runner-up. Peter Meadows from the Cal
ifornia Raisin Administrative Committee, which organises the awards, said: “Our panel of five judges had a strict set of criteria an d p re t ty m u c h a ll of th e Farmhouse F a re pro d u c ts smashed all th e reco rd s for taste, consistency, innovation
and, of course, the amount of raisins.” He added th a t the judges had
particularly enjoyed the compa ny’s lemon meringue pudding. The awards were established
in 2004 to recognise innovative and imaginative use of Californ ian raisins in the food industry. Made at the company’s Lin
