Availability - Potential buyers will call at any time so attempt to be available. It may be a good idea to add to your advertisement a day/evening number or mobile number to avoid missing a sale. Proof - Your proof of ownership is a legal requirement. Make sure you have available all documentation for the car. HPI Check - Permit a potential buyer to run an HPI check/AA Check. Reassuring the
buyer that the sale is genuine and the vehicle is legal is crucial. Safety - Don't give out unneccessary information to potential buyers and be sure to have someone else with you when meeting them. Do not take the car to meet
potential buyers. They may sound genuine but you can't be sure from a phone call. Test drives - Always permit the potential buyer to test drive the car with you. Be sure that they are covered by their insurance or yours. Take care at all times and be aware of your own safety - hold the keys at all times, don't go out on a test drive
