THE BOURNE SUPREMACY (12A); The Grand Cinema; from tomorrow
A BRISK, engrossing and intelli gent thriller, “The Bourne Supremacy” stars Matt Damon as amnesiac former CIA assassin Jason Bourne.
He is pulled back into the spy game
when a Russian killer (Karl Urban) tracks him down in India. Fleeing the off-the-radar haven he
has found with girlfriend Marie (Franka Potente), Bourne sprints and scraps his way around Europe, trying to discover why the Cl A is out to get him. Meanwhile, Joan Allen's hard-
nosed government spook uncovers the secrets of agency-within-the- agency “Treadstone”, and b u tts heads with shady veteran Ward Abbott (Brian Cox). Based on Robert Ludlum’s edge-of-
the-seat novel, the Bourne Suprema cy is a worthy sequel to “The Bourne Identity”, which wowed cinema-goers back in 2001.
