Whalley Under 1 0 s .........2 Trawden C e l t ic ................1 UNDEFEATED Whalley continued their impressive run of wins with a hard fought vic tory over Trawden. Whalley were first to score

when a lofted corner from the boot of Chris Heyes caused panic in the Trawden defence, and as a result the visitors headed the ball into their own net. Trawden did level the score

ju s t before half-time when Whalley failed to clear their lines, but the locals were deter mined to win this game and quickly stamped their authori ty in the second half. Chances went begging after

th e break u n ti l a sweetly struck shot from Oliver Small ey gave the locals a well- deserved victory. Man of th e match was

awarded to William James, while g re a t • work from Matthew Nolan and Elliot Bland ensured Whalley’s dom inance.

Langho Juniors.................2 Wolves Under 13s . . . . . . 3 CLITHEROE played some of their best football of the sea son against Langho, enabling the locals to come away with all three points. The first half saw Wolves

create several goal-scoring chances but were unable to find the back of the net, while Langho proved dangerous on the break to keep in-form keeper Benjamin Craig busy. Chris Scott scored the open

er jus t before half-time, but after the break, the home side came out fighting and soon equalised. Scott completed his h at-

trick, but Langho never gave up and pulled one back to force an exciting finish in which Clitheroe’s defence held firm. James Kenyon was

Clitheroe’s man of the match, while Daniel Meyler and Josh Miller were outstanding. Fulledge C o l ts .. ’. ..........1 Wolves Under 11s............10 THE Wolves enjoyed a very convincing v ictory against basement side Fulledge. On a frosty pitch,,Clitheroe

were soon into their stride and were ahead in the first minute when Astin scored the first of

his first half hat-trick. Further strikes from Meyler (2), Dewhurst and Hutchins saw the team in full control by half-time. Late goals from Dewhurst,

Hutchins and man of the match Astin, saw the Wolves home in style. Roefield Leisure U9s . . . .0 H uncoat............................13

DESPITE a positive s ta r t from Roefield, Huncoat proved too well organised as the locals were totally outclassed. After Roefield’s Elliot Shep

herd saved a penalty, Huncoat applied continued pressure that inevitably led to the goals, and a second penalty was convert ed.

After half-time, Roefield’s

defence reorganised and Scott Wells came onto the forward line. Good tracking and tackling

by Adam Robson and Jack Excel helped contain Huncoat, while Burrill and Parker worked hard in midfield. Although the locals contin

ued to build on their attacks, opportunities on goal'were few and far between, and Roefield boss Tony Rodia felt his team had experienced a valuable les son in football.

comeback is foiled But Mark Harrison

scored was the locals staged a comeback. Then Robert Lloyd

was denied what looked to be a penalty, before Barrowford retaliated on the break to go 3-1 up. Just before half-time, Lloyd pulled a second

goal back for Wadding ton. As play resumed, Bar

rowford grabbed two fur ther goals to go 5-2 ahead. Buts Lloyd completed"

his hat-trick, before Tim Fagan added a fourth a minute later to set the

game alight. The team surged for

ward in search of an equaliser, but try as they might, i t just wasn’t to be, as the locals came away deeply disappoint ed from a game that they at least deserved to draw. Waddington would
