Hall and admired the views n orth over Knowle Green to Longridge Fell before drop ping down through Buckley Woods. The next section of the walk was across open fields to Stonygate Lane, where the route follows the course of the main Roman road from Chester to Carlisle. At Moor House, party members decided
that they were enjoying themselves too much to take the short route back to the car park and added an extra loop, via Squire House and Moor Hey, before rejoining Cowley Brook further upstream and following it back down to Knowle Green. This gave the leader the opportunity to
point out the remains of yet another mill built along Cowley Brook in the early days of the Industrial Revolution.
, . At the end of the walk, the two overseas vis
itors praised the beautiful Kibble Valley; scenery they had seen - and asked for details of the next walk."-
