MUSIC, comedy and impressions will feature

in th is fast-moving show. Over the past three decad es the Grumble-

weeds have enjoyed su c ce s s through perfor m a n ce s in c a b a re t c lu b s , in c o n c e r t , pan tomime and summer seasons, as well as over

the air and on the small screen. However, it was on radio that the group made

its breakthrough with a successful BBC Radio 2 series which was first aired in 1979 and was

named Best Radio Show in 1983. It was followed in 1989 by a brand new show

ca l le d "Someone And The Grumbleweeds". During its run the comedians broadcast their

10Oth radio programme. The story of the Grumbleweeds originally

s tar ted in 1962 in Le ed s . For the next few years the group took to the stage in local clubs and pubs, as well as in Germany, before turn ing professional following an appearance on

"Opportunity Knocks". The group - Robin Colvill, Tony Jo and Gra

ham Walker - has established itself as one of the funniest a c ts in showbusiness and looks set to enjoy even more success, so don't miss this opportunity to catch them in Clitheroe.

BE transported back to an era when people dared to be different and bands like Madness and Spandau Bal let set the trends. A cast of 11 capture the

diversity and energy of a time when fashion was flamboyant, men wore make-up and girls just wanted to have fun. The story follows the rise

and fall of '80s popstar Danny Cook, the price he pays for fame and fortune, the friends he leaves behind and the girl whose heart he

breaks. This feelgood musical

combines drama with the greatest hits of the '80s, as well as the events, celebri ties and television favourites of the age. O Tickets cost from £9,

for more details contact the box office on 01282 661234.
